It's not poor people's fault that they stay poor. No, let me be realistic, it's not ALL poor people's fault that they're poor. There are a lot of economic realities that make it difficult to acquire wealth when you're second generation poverty stricken. I got depressed when I realized I spent 5 hours today just playing a video game (Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion) and who knows how many hours farking. Such activity leads to neck strain and other horrors I won't mention here.

Then I did a little bit of yoga, had a cup of tea, read a little, and reflected on the fact that I still have a job, I'm doing better than I was a year ago, and I haven't yet tried to off myself despite having been depressed since age 12.

I may have a lot of debt, but at least I never tried to buy a house ... and I never wired money to a random scammer in a foreign land. I haven't tried to acquire dogs when not in a position to own then responsibly (house with a fenced-in yard). Haven't been on welfare yet and hope to keep it that way. As I march on into middle age and contemplate the worthlessness of my life, I can at least hold onto these few shreds of dignity.

Six children are in a Sussex transition house after being removed from their Hampton area home yesterday.
R-C-M-P were called to help remove some of the children from what's described as a camp -- others were picked up at school.
The Mounties tell us the move was initiated by the Department of Social Development -- but -- the department is remaining mum -- it says it can't comment on specific cases due to legal restrictions.
