While one may or may not agree with the motivations behind specific instances of ethnic separatism, I'd hardly call it "nothing".

There are a lot more important problems than Sri Lanka to worry about. We have to end apartheid for one. And slow down the nuclear arms race, stop terrorism and world hunger. We have to provide food and shelter for the homeless, and oppose racial discrimination and promote civil rights, while also promoting equal rights for women. We have to encourage a return to traditional moral values. Most importantly, we have to promote general social concern and less materialism in young people.

The Tamil Tigers are about the best terrorist force on earth. I never heard of a group so mean and well-organized; they even give FARC and Hezbollah a run for the top-terrorist spot. You gotta give a nod to an insurgency without government backing that has it's own navy, air force and tank unit.

Don't get me wrong, the Tamil Tigers are a terrorist organization that kills civilians, but they aren't doing it just for giggles. There has been historical discrimination against them as an ethnic group. Not a lot of innocents involved between the Government and the Tigers.
