Probably a very similar stance, which would have been as meaningless to Israel's military goals as Stephen Harper's. Israel doesn't act on our say-so. At most, I could see the Liberals fretting a little publicly about casualties while eventually taking the most moderate stance possible between the position of the US and the UK. And nobody outside Canada would care, it's not like we're currently on the Security Council or anything.

As for the Kelowna Accord, I'm pretty stunned that the Prime Minister of Canada doesn't see alleviating the conditions on native reserves and helping to boost education and jobs for native people as a priority.

Because they vary across the left-right spectrum you'll find pretty committed libertarians in the Conservative party, Green party and Bloc Québécois.. and more social libertarians in the NDP and Liberals.

It also helps that the President of the United States probably has more influence on Canada as a whole (as in one person over the whole country) than our own Prime Minister. In the case of Harper v Obama, that's a good thing.
