Animal Husbandry is perfectly fine until both parties start enjoying it.

I am still emotionally scarred by the girl friend I had who was studying agricultural sciences telling me in detail how she had spent her day impregnating sows... not even viagra could have fixed the anti-boner that caused.

No, she's not inside.
She's out in front, pulling the carriage.

Tom Lehrer, you're a TFer?

Did you switch to medical school and go on to specialize in diseases of the rich?

I had originally thought that maybe, being Miami, that she was an immigrant, maybe English was a second language, but nope. Born in South Carolina.

"Husbandry" is a pretty uncommon term nowadays, but I don't think it's so uncommon that a native speaker wouldn't know it.

Oh, cut the bull! She's a Democrat. She's smart and educated, brought up through years of outstanding public education, no doubt, and has only the finest of intellects to get appointed to the state senate by her local Democratic party reps.

God forbid we subject this fine woman to the same public scrutiny and castigation we submitted other Floridians to, like Katherine Harris!

TallyGirl 2009-03-13 09:28:02 PM
The Florida Legislature is a laugh riot. The last time I went to watch (free entertainment, I worked in the building anyway) a male senator asked a female senator if her bill could be "politely laid on the table" and she snatched up her microphone and said, "I've never been politely laid by any of you in my life."

On a current note, I'm kind of surprised that a Florida senator doesn't know what animal husbandry is. Despite all of the tourism and concrete and stuff, we are still somewhat...rural. I guarantee you could find a cow within an hour of downtown Miami.

Thanks for attacking all those hateful partisan liberals in here who're trying to defend this stupid comment because it's one from there team... oh wait, there's nobody in here doing that, you're just some moran.

And that, boys and girls, is why Florida is still the only state with its own fark tag.

Kevin72 2009-03-13 09:40:30 PM
Florida tag is correct. Senator Smathers got his seat by claiming his opponent practiced monogamy and opponent's sister was a thespian, this was like in the 1950s.

sugardave 2009-03-13 09:40:46 PM
You are in violation of the animal husbandry clause of my HOA if you have more than 2 animals of any kind....even if they're "fixed."

Nah. It's just because everyone knows the stupid, redneck, racist hick (R)s know what animal husbandry is.

heinekenftw 2009-03-13 09:48:16 PM
To be fair, when I first read the headline, I was thinking of humans and animals being wed.

But then, I'm not a state senator or a farmer or an animal breeder. I know what husbandry is, but it is such a little used word in my vocabulary, that I didn't catch it.

/also, I'm a furry.

I, for one, think its absolutely HILARIOUS that knowledgeable Republicans had to explain animal husbandry to the Democratic chair of the AGRICULTURE committee. Remember, all the usual stereotypes are off--hence the img1.fark.net tag.

I had no idea what animal husbandry was when I first heard it. Then I thought, that can't be what it sounds like. So I looked it up. Dictionary FTW.

You mean a word can have several meanings?

So a mid-wife isn't your middle wife?

And a wet nurse isn't a moist nurse?

:(

Wouldn't a woman like that be the MOST capable person of giving someone a boner? I mean, she's actually a professional.
