Wow. When Bill'O is the rational voice in the conversation it's time to seriously consider upping your meds.

One of these days Glenn Beck's head is going to asplode.

By the way, I was visiting the States and went into a Barnes&Noble and lo and behold what did I see? Did you know someone allowed him to write a novel and then they SOLD it in a bookstore? I couldn't believe it.

Because Glenn Beck doesn't think. He just has diarrhea of the mouth.

Once again, I posit that Glenn Beck is still an alcoholic, because no one on Earth could possibly live with themselves doing what he does on a daily basis without ingesting colossal amounts of booze to get through the day.

Its not a feeling of disenfranchisement that makes people go on shooting sprees, its easy access to guns and a lack of education that makes people go on shooting sprees. And probably some hate-mongering from the right to boot.

Beck's radio show is just as ridiculous as his TV show is and his recent claims of being a libertarian make me chuckle as well. His crazed countenance and his bloated head suggest that he still on some sort of substance or perhaps multiple substances.

There was a TotalFark thread a little while back, asking who I'd punch in the face if there were no repercussions whatsoever.

Glenn Beck immediately popped into my mind.

This insufferable sh*t is exactly why.

In fact, if I ever encountered Glenn Beck in person, I would dent that doughy, smarmy face of his and take whatever punishment comes my way.

You know, I used to think the "Everything wrong is the fault of liberals" thing was the creation of some liberal's massive persecution complex, and had no bearing in reality. No social conservative could actually BELIEVE a sentiment like that. Then I hear Glenn Beck say something like that, and I wonder if he really, truly believes it to be the case. Same with Ann Coulter. Do they really believe the things they say are true?

You know, it's really hard to maintain a balance of charm, fuzziness, and seething anger when people like you go around and fark up my rugged exterior with your compliments and politesse and general affability.

I guess what I'm saying is if you were a woman I would totally bone you and not require 3 drinks and my guy friends egging me on to do it.

JoJoTheIdiotMonkeyBoy: Do they really believe the things they say are true?

As long as it sells books and gets them in front of TV cameras.

Remember when right wing talk radio blew up the Murrah building or when gun shows shot up Columbine?

Stupid people saying stupid things tying them to unrelated occurrences isn't exactly a new trend.

Diogenes [TotalFark] 2009-03-13 04:01:54 PM
In conversation with Bill O'Reilly yesterday on his Fox News show, Glenn Beck speculated that the cause of that murderous shooting rampage in Alabama might have been the shooter's frustration with "political correctness"

So by this logic, if someone has a fear of or frustration with midgets and as a result goes on a midget killing spree, the problem is the midgets.

Funny, it seems like much of the hate comes from right wing radio jocks like Glenn Beck. I'd think the crap they spew would help inspire far more violence than any number of people trying to be politically correct.

He'd like that. No seriously, he would. It plays into his persecution complex and sounds something like this: "I'm an oppressed Christian conservative just trying to fight for the common man, the Real American, to preserve this great nation from the liberal assault! But I'm being persecuted by those nasty, evil liberals. I get them so outraged by simply speaking the truth that one of them just came up to me on the street and punched me in the face! They're lunatics and they hate America!"

He's really cut loose since he's left the confines of CNN and gone over to Fox. I mean off the deep end.

No. It's just March. People are suffering from seasonal affective disorder madness. You know it's solstice time outside the world's torrid regions when people are going crazy from not enough sun.

I can hear the mental cases cracking all around me.

Sounds about right, now that I think about it.

Well, I can imagine in that environment over there at the place... just, ugh. Even Juan Williams goes off his rocker when he's on stage at Fox.

Yeah, and lynchers were merely frustrated that black men wouldn't stop looking at white women.

I'm pretty sure that Glenn Beck believes the stuff that he says. Check out his thoughts just after surgery for hemorrhoids (^). I mean sure the hemorrhoids were given to him by Marxists and PC thugs, but that doesn;t change the fact that the guy is a complete and utter loon.

I used to listen to Beck sometimes when he was the drive-home talk radio host on our local Tampa newsradio station. He wasn't that crazy then, or at least not as vocal about it. He actually could occasionally be funny and not batshiat insane.

Then 9/11 happened and Clear Channel decided to broadcast his show all over the nation all day, as he weeped, moaned, and gnashed his teeth to great effect. A national career was born immediately.

Since then, Beck hasn't dropped the weepy moaning schtick. I guess it's made him richer than he ever dreamed of being, so why not?

Personally I would feel pretty awful knowing I owed my fame and fortune to the 9/11 hijackers, but that's just me.

When I lived in West Palm Beach, I'd listen to his radio show every so often. It wasn't noteworthy; like morning jock radio done in the afternoon/evening.

He turned into a bit of a d*ck when he got the CNN gig. Whatever. CNN is populated with them.

But since he moved to Fox, he is unstoppable. He is insanity made flesh. I can't even watch his show for the microseconds it takes to flip past Fox as I'm channel surfing.

I like the comments regarding revolution and standing up and snapping and such. I can only hope for more such comments over the next several years.

It really makes me proud of my recent voting choice when those are the comments from the people that think our country is ruined.

If those people are pissed, I did something right.

I'm no fan of Beck, but he somewhat has a point-- cities with the most draconian gun laws are often riddled with gun violence. The hidden cost of a gun ban is the precise opposite of the intention.

Just observing New Hampshire or Vermont is proof enough that gun laws and so called "education" are totally unnecessary.

ChickenTits 2009-03-13 07:17:16 PM
It's amazing, but I've seen Glen Beck cry more than any man I've ever known. I suppose if I thought as biblically as he did all of the time then I would probably be farked up in the head too.
