Speaking of not paying attention to politics, Republican operatives, whose job is to assassinate people's character, are on the record saying that Pelosi has been a hard target to demonize. She's just a Grandma.

The only legitimate criticism of her leadership is from Democrats who think she caves too easily to Republicans. And she does.

Actually, most of the partisan democrats on fark have been in the campaign mode for so long, they leap into these brushfires full on and don't read the article, but any attack on a sitting democrat in position is an attack on them.

I include in this, about 98% of all of you "independents" who are just democrats that are too cheap to join the party.

I think TFA says that they are skipping a pay raise this year. I assume that if things continue to tank, they can skip the next one also. Personally, I like to see my politicians (and policemen) properly compensated. It helps with the corruption thing a little.
