Not really, but to have the left screaming away that Rush is the debbil because he wants Obama to fail is hypocritical.

I wish Carville and his wife would just disappear.

Carville doesn't have the kind of audience that Rush has. He hasn't had anything close since the Clinton admin.

He doesn't need the audience Rush has when he has CNN, NBC, CBS...

Five or ten minutes on the news, every once in a while a half hour on one of the news talkshows doesn't come close to millions of people a few hours every day in matters of reach.

Carville probably reaches a wider audience, however.

Turns out the press did report it.

But when it's said about a guy with a proven track record of failure, quotes like that fail to raise many eyebrows.

Yeah, but they didn't report it.

They must've been afraid of Carville's millions of rabid fans.

I should point out I included only "Major US and World Publications," excluding wire services and TV and radio transcripts. Date was set to after Sep. 11, 2001.

Then seal the entrance with concrete.

IXI Jim IXI: Well, by that time, they had a bigger failure to worry about.

Sadly, the "failures" to follow were the result of a beholden press unwilling to look too closely at an ever-expanding list of inconsistencies. The school girl-like crush they developed for the Decider post-9/11 opened the doors to that divisive prick and his handlers.

I hope Chris Matthews' pecker permanently quit working after he so dutifully doted upon Bush following his dog-and-pony show aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.

Three Crooked Squirrels [TotalFark] 2009-03-11 02:15:34 PM
Minutes later, as news of the terrorist attacks reached the hotel conference room where the Democrats were having breakfast with the reporters, Carville announced: "Disregard everything we just said! This changes everything!"

So, when national disaster struck, Carville, a douchenozzle of the highest order, basically said "Forget partisan bickering right now, the nation is in crisis and we must pull together." Limbaugh announced he wanted the president to fail in the midst of national economic crisis. I don't think I'd ever want the president to fail because if the president fails, in whatever endeavor, the nation suffers. But context is important. On the eve or the terrorist attacks, we were in a minor recession and we were at peace. Carville probably thought that even if the president didn't succeed, the nation wouldn't be launched into crisis.

Technically if the left screams that Carville was the debbil for wanting Bush to fail, they aren't really hypocrites.

But James Carville himself being a hypocrite is news how?

/doesn't think Rush is the debbil

So, the defense of Rush is that he is just as wrong as Carville was?

Excellent reasoning there. We want to be JUST as bad as our political rivals.

Here's a tip folks. You want to get folks back to the party, you're going to have to do a little something. And that is restore our faith in it.

If you are going to claim the moral high ground, it helps if you actually occupy that territory first.

I read his and his wife's book. He's a funny guy. In one of his earlier campaign stints, his candidate was absolutely against negative campaigning, so he called a press conference and said, "My candidate is against negative campaigning and that is why he won't let me say _____ ______ and ______ about the other guy."

Can't remember what filled in the blanks, but the lesson was clear. He's more than happy to be the douchebag as long as he is getting paid.

I hear that sentiment a lot lately. No one likes Pelosi. Nobody likes Chris Dodd anymore. All the Democrats hate Carville.

I don't know, maybe step outside of fark once in a while and test the waters out in the rest of the world. Somebody keeps putting these people in office.

Why do Republicans want to force us all to be so politically correct?

Because if they act like such complete jackholes that they mobilize the Democrats into pushing for the Fairness Doctrine, they can then turn around and say "See! You see! They're COMMIE FASCISTS!"

Carville wasn't really that involved in Clinton's re-election campaign, or in the 2nd half of the administration. I always found that weird. He could have used a pit bull when all the allegations started flying.

i wasn't on fark in the 90s so i can't really say. but if your original point was about what started happening in the very recent past, going back a decade to find evidence of the opposite happening doesn't really support your premise.

I loved his radio show on XM. Of course, it was sports talk. He's funny, and he really knows his stuff when it comes to sports. Seems like a nice enough fellow when I've seen him at Tulane. Of course, none of those things have to do with politics.
