Years ago, on a Metro-North train to New haven, as we crossed over the east river after 125th street, you could see a car bobbing in the water. Came off Harlem River Drive, I think. Never heard about it on the news, but was interesting anyway....

Once robots start doing all the work, the doughnut industry is really going to suffer...

Won't somebody think of the pastries??!

What? There's no money in soliciting bribes to go pick up useless waterlogged cars! The money's in fining people for dumping and abandonment.

How many of the bodies in those cars have wounds not consistent with a car crash/ drowning death?

This motion will inevitably fail as soon as they realize that robots are soulless machines that let people live or die based on percentages.

3. The heat warms up the trash heaps and a light breeze carries the rancid air over into Manhattan.
4. The first guido appears at the shore with his shirt off and a ridiculous orangey tan and slimey hairdo.

Authorities hope to identify owners and prosecute them for abandoning their vehicles. insurance fraud.

You can drop a legit car off at a junkyard and pick up a few bucks or even donate it to a charity but if you're going to lose the car because you can't pay the lease it usually gets "stolen." The insurance company then picks up the tab. I saw 2 geniuses who were cutting up one of their trucks for this reason and burying it in the desert at an ER. They were using cutting torches and forgot that the gas tank had gas in it. I don't know if they went to prison but they did go to the burn unit.
