Yeah, drummers are indispensable.

Rowntree has embraced an internship at a London law firm, and wants to make it his full time job...Rowntree is also due to revive his political ambitions after being selected to represent Britain's Labour Party as a local councillor.

Bile...rising...swiftly...

Pulled "Parklife" for a spin. Thanks for the reminder, subby.

I love Blur, but Damon Albarn's genius has never waned, so it'll not be any huge loss if they don't record any new material. As long as Damon keeps knocking out demented genius and Graham Coxon keeps on relentlessly putting out new material, no worries.

What danduran said.

I've got the Good, the Bad and the Queen along with the old Blur and Damon just keeps on trucking with good stuff. So does Graham as a solo artist.

Parklife rules, btw. Saw Blur in L.A. in 2004 or 2005. Fantastic!

if you are talking about the think tank show at the wiltern, that was a great show. the back up singers they had on that tour were really amazing. i was in the 2nd row of the balcony, and had a great time that night.

i have seen blur a few times (leisure, parklife, and think tank tours) and every time, they have put on a great show.

no offense to Rowntree, but i am sure blur can carry on without him.

For the record 'Girls and Boys' is one of the worst songs ever.

drummer Dave Rowntree wants to quit music completely to concentrate on his new career as a barrister.

Wow. I've heard that they've got good benefits but WHY would your rather make coffee at Starbucks than play in a band?

Like many have said already, albarn and coxon keep delivering the quality, so it's all good. PARKLIFE!

That is all.

The article says that he is quitting, but then he says he is going on tour. I'm a little confused.
