I almost never click a link to either Kos or FR, but I'm glad I did this time. Pure comedy gold.

I guess the way to get a Freeper to off himself is to tell him "No matter what, whatever you do, do NOT put that butter knife into that electrical socket".

I recall Drew mentioning that SS had his fax machine on speed dial, but he was probably being facetious.

Wow, the comments made have got to be pretty bad to warrant 8 deletions. I wonder what they said to cross the line, and I also wonder if that line was truly toned down.

Also, just for shiats and giggles, I went into an Obama thread. They are nasty. One moron called him an "eclair".

I was thinking more of the blowhard Senator stepfather in the original The Manchurian Candidate, the one with Frank Sinatra.

/BTW, the Secret Service gets annoyed when you refer to them as the SS. They prefer the USSS if you're going to abbreviate it. I've worked very briefly with them before, and they are fantastic, funny, professional guys and gals.

Another power-play by our new communist dictator Hussen and his minyins. This time it's an assalt on our 4th ammendmint right to freedom of speech! If we don't turn this thing around and imbrace the constitution as God wrote it, this country is doomed to slide into the seathing pits of hell!

Larry Mahnken [TotalFark] 2009-03-07 03:32:33 PM
Why would the President of the United States want to meet this guy? Because he's a man? If prismsinc wants to meet men, shouldn't he post on Craigslist or something?

Comedy gold.

globalwarmingpraiser [TotalFark] 2009-03-07 03:34:42 PM
Did KOS get visited during the Bush Administration? Probably not considering so few of them actually own firearms.

Investigative detail. I've been assured by an agent who works protective that surgical removal of sense of humor was a mandatory prerequisite for protective detail assignment.

Ahh, Free Republic...

If Obama is a man, he will meet me in person. He's a gutless coward that is using the SS to hide behind. Obama is a lowly immature fool that couldn't run a hot dog stand.

Obama, come here and meet me you coward. You don't want to hear what I think of you? You're going to let Emmanuel and Geithner and these other minions you appointed do your bidding?

It's like the 40 lb. box of rape. You know it's going to be awful, but you just can't resist opening it.

blueyedevil 2009-03-07 03:42:43 PM
FTA And even though your visiting agent may agree politically, and may take his oath to the constitution seriously, he's still sworn to protect the officeholder and it's his duty to take all threats seriously.

Yeah, like the guy with the $3000 ear piece is gonna take a bullet for the guy who wasn't even born in this country? Come on!

Mr. Coffee Nerves: So, to be a commenter on FR one must masturbate to "Red Dawn" daily, or is weekly enough?

The Orthodox Freepers do it daily, and the Reform Freepers do it weekly. There's been different interpretations of the "Whenever it feels appropriate" passage in the Book of Reagan.

Corvus 2009-03-07 03:48:16 PM
I mentioned this yesterday, scary stuff yesterday:

Corvus: Look kids Freepers saying people should be taught how to take up guns and "abolish their government".

I wonder how it is the "People" might alter or abolish their government without the tools necessary (new window)

Wow it takes only 40 days for the Right wing to become the exact terrorists that they say they hate.

These guys really are no better then the terrorist they say they hate so much.

Whenever the majority doesn't go the way they want they think they have the right to use force.

Gosling [TotalFark] 2009-03-07 03:48:20 PM
I'm noticing an increasing amount of spelling Rahm's last name "Emmanuel" with two M's. That an honest misspelling or is there some sort of mocking going on that I'm missing?

This never happened under Bush.

Are you now, or have you ever been a member of the Free Republic?

Actually, as a thought excercise, if during the McCarthy years, they went predominantly after the State Dept, actors etc, unions.. if they did the same again, but with the barrel being pointed the other direction (Randians and suspected Capitalists), what would the trials look like? Who would get blacklisted (in terms of professions)? Who would be the televised face of the Inquiries?

globalwarmingpraiser: Did KOS get visited during the Bush Administration? Probably not considering so few of them actually own firearms.

We own firearms and many of us are card-carrying members of the NRA... we just don't feel the urge to tell the whole universe that we keep guns at home.

Corvus 2009-03-07 03:51:42 PM
I will hold the Republican party responsible for never calling out these wackos and encouraging them.

Their hands are dirty feeding these people by saying that Obama is a "socialist" and that his not an American citizen. They give these wackos cover to justify their dangerous actions.

>> Note to Freepers: threatening the President may result in visits by the Secret Service

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

You right wing rejects just figured that out ?

Man that is funny.

We need to egg them on to where they really fark themselves good.

"Come on you wimps. Don't you know Obama is going to cause blacks to rape your wives. Your not gonna stand for that now are ya. If your not ready to pick up a gun your not a real right winger"

Cubic Zirconium Jim Brady 2009-03-07 03:52:12 PM
One of the special ed kids in the school where I work got a visit from the Secret Service for making death threats against Bush. The day before, an FBI guy from the local office called and asked me if I thought the kid was a credible threat. I told him I though not, because the kid didn't have his shiat together enough to bring a pencil to school, let alone travel to DC or highjack a plane or anything like that.

It wasn't all that bad for him. They interviewed him, fingerprinted him, took his picture, and bought him McDonalds.

Yes, read that thread. It's not. And this is one of the threads NOT being removed. Can you imagine the threads that ARE being deleted?

globalwarmingpraiser: Did KOS get visited during the Bush Administration? Probably not considering so few of them actually own firearms.

KOS didn't make threats.

See look you are making justification for them.

You are defending these crazy people!

It's disgusting!

Corvus: Yes, read that thread. It's not. And this is one of the threads NOT being removed. Can you imagine the threads that ARE being deleted?

I'll give the Freepers credit for one thing - they don't even make the slightest effort to pretend they're something they're not. They are interested in nothing but an echochamber for their own excessively narrow point of view, and they welcome exactly ZERO debate or dissension. And they don't try to hide that fact

What I don't get is, what is the point? It's like a bunch of guys who want to stand around with their dicks in their hands talking about masturbation

R.A.Danny [TotalFark] 2009-03-07 03:57:33 PM
Anyway, no Freepology post would be complete without choice Freeper comments. Let's start off with one from prismsinc:

If Obama is a man, he will meet me in person. He's a gutless coward that is using the SS to hide behind. Obama is a lowly immature fool that couldn't run a hot dog stand.

Obama, come here and meet me you coward. You don't want to hear what I think of you? You're going to let Emmanuel and Geithner and these other minions you appointed do your bidding?

If we ALL say what we want, he will be overwhelmed. He can't possibly cover every one of us.

Somehow this guy rates a personal visit from he POTUS? People really need to stop flattering themselves. The sense of entitlement isn't a left vs right thing.

Gosling [TotalFark] 2009-03-07 03:59:08 PM
The FR thread notes that the mod said he's been asked on three occasions to hand over an IP: once under Clinton, once under Bush, and once in the Obama transition. So that's their record so far.

I imagine there would be more in the future given the fact that that thread even exists and the mod's getting all sorts of blowback.

First, your postulate is in reference to threats of bodily harm against the President of the United States. It doesn't have a lot to do with the Government going after a bunch of peaceable Communists. Who, despite their politics, were loyal Americans.

However, I don't think anything like that could happen again. The media is much more diversified. And bald faced lies are cross referenced with millions of people on a daily basis.

You probably had your hometown newspaper, a radio, and 3 Television stations that originally had nightly news for 15 minutes.

In short, Congress could get away with bullshiat for weeks before the electorate wised up and wondered what the fark they're doing.

Not so today. If it gets said, there are hundreds of emails and press requests within minutes of whatever the supposed incident was.

Personally, I think it would be great for Obama to just show up at this guys house. Make his point. Have the Secret Service show up an hour before, sweep the guys house, and set up a pair of podiums and have a debate right there on this guys front lawn.

Sure, the President has better things to do than show up at some random Wingnut's house. But man, would that be funny as hell.

/I know the idiot in question actually wanted to "fight" Obama
//I'd still put the odds in Obama's favor
