I love Limbaugh only because so many people get so upset over every single thing the guy says. Calm down and let it slide.

He's a jackass, just let him speak without giving him all this attention. Your reaction is actually giving him more money, fame, and probably more jackass followers.

Yes, Republicans, let your rage flow. Follow the angry proclamations of your fearless leader, Rush Limbaugh. That's not a cliff up ahead. It's an opportunity to soar, to soar back into power! Don't let the edge of the cliff stop you, Republicans. Keep marching! Your redemption is near!

Democrats need to back off this blowhard. I keep getting e-mails from the DNC expressing their outrage - as if lard-ass is suddenly making outrageous statements.

The proper response is to just ignore him and leave him to his misguided minions, but the Democratic leadership keeps taking the bait - idiots!

They should take that energy and put 24 hour surveillance on Rush. Catch him doc shopping for Oxy, jetting off for more boy trysts on foreign islands or just living the elitist life while claiming to speak for the common guy. Even if they don't catch him doing anything, it'll make him more paranoid (if that's possible) and give him a new appreciation for Bush's domestic surveillance programs.

We WANT to give him attention. The whole point of this is to let him suck up all the air, preventing any other conservatives from making points. Every day he is in the news, the Democrats win.

That's actually a pretty good point. But the feigned outrage bit gets worn pretty fast if used too much.

Bingo, and the whackadoodle strategists would just love for him to go back to the shadows. The democrats are very smart for fanning these flames. The test will be if they truly do know when to quit, if such a time should arise.

For now, let the bastard destroy himself. Of course, the GOP response is going to be to try to paint this as the DNC picking on Rush and that they are "getting their panties in a bunch." The reality is that the DNC isn't really having to do much. Rush will keep himself in the spotlight, his ego can't resist.

Rush needs to find a way to get some stimulus money out of the bill. If does get stimulus money, Obama's going to get blamed.

The liberals need to have find a troll to go after Rush and leave the issue alone.

Too bad liberals can't have their own CPAC.

I think it's cuz the dems are trying to make Limbaugh the face of the Republican party. If they succeed, they'll be in power at least until fatboy collapses under his own weight.

The Why Not Guy [TotalFark] 2009-03-07 12:55:47 PM
Republicans can't seem to figure out that in this three way pissing match between the Republicans, the Democrats and Rush, Democrats don't care if Rush comes out smelling like a rose, because that means the GOP comes out smelling like a pile of crap.

Watch... even after we've spelled it out for you, our friends on the Right will continue posting nonsense about how the Democrats are obsessed with Rush.

Stop giving this whale so much attention, like McCarthy he will burn out soon enough and life will be balanced again, Hannity on the other hand needs a public execution for the simple reason of being a poster child for hypocrisy, nothing fancy, just a shot to the head will do.

What part of "Just ignore him" does everyone not understand? In fact, that's the solution to every neocon idjit out there. They have lower level people inject comments like the one in this article. It is true, they aren't on the big shows, and that is also smart, because then that would lend credence to Rush being a victim (ugggh, that will be the GOP response).

A little nudge here and there, and woosh the fire is lit. Then sit back and watch the bellows of the GOP scream machine consume itself.

It all started with Rush's comments about wanting Obama to fail. That was the glorious spark. Fatboy couldn't keep his yapper closed.

There was one quote in there from Buckley that was even remotely approaching critical of Obama himself, and it was a trite platitude.

"Just remember ... that a government that is big enough to give you everything you want is also big enough to take it all away."

Hardly buyer's remorse. Furthermore, replace "government" with "free market" and does anything change?

The tables have been turned. Rove's tactic was to constantly change the narrative. The Dems were always playing catchup, because the GOP would just move onto the next thing.

Now, the GOP is having to do this, but with a very popular president and a much less popular dolt whose ego can't let it go. The rest will follow suit. Hannity, Beck, Hume, etc. are being used as tools for their own demise.

All whackadoodles know how to do is screech and scream, so they won't let it die, and the rest of the world will sit and watch the GOP impolde even more.

Does the free market have the capacity to take from you involuntarily? Government does. So yes, many things change when you swap "government" with "free market". I would greatly prefer a bigger free market. That is our problem right now, Obama's economic policies are shrinking the free market in favor of his big government agenda.

Yeah, I hardly think we need to worry about a Fark discussion board de-railing it.

At some point the GOP will need to offer solutions. Maybe 47 days of Obama hate serves as a way for the people who were in power when the economy tanked to try and convince people that the last 8 years did not exist, but that will grow old very fast.

All the CNBC yelling and screaming does not negate the fact that this was the very same crew telling everyone that all the companies now in trouble or failed could never fail. The predicted a 1600 Dow, when it started to go down.

4.4 million jobs have been lost since Dec 2007. This issue didn't just sneak up on Jan 20th 2009.

The big banks failed or were failing in 2008. AIG was ready to go under in 2008.

The GOP and CNBC can jump around and say look! look! or get to work to try and fix the long coming mess.
