I assumed, when I clicked the link, that the "McKay Events Center" was a little community center or something. But it actually looks like it can hold more than a few dozen people. From their website, anyway.

This is not a repeat from 1986

Especially since both had their breakout hits in 1990.

Who do we blame for this? Generation X-ers?

According to Wikipedia, it seats 8,500. Scary, I know, but it's still Utah.

Kitsch value is powerful.

I came in to say this.

Didn't these guys have their great hits (one each) just moments before the economy shriveled up like a dick in 20 degree water? Hmmm? Hmmm! The death of the yuppie lifestyle and everything good that came with it. I'd say that a sold out Vanilla Ice concert is about as good a sign of the current economy as you'll ever get. It means that soon you'll be forced to sell your luggable-but-still-moderately-mobile phone, and stop drinking champagne at clubs where having an escalator running between floors is the ultimate display of how outrageously hip they are. Preferably paying for your drinks by check, one check for each single round of drinks, yelling out to the bartender "Who should I write it out for!?" trying to make your voice heard over the sound of the recent Milli Vanilli hit pumping out from the speakers.

I once saw Vanilla Ice perform at a frat party in the late 90's. He should feel lucky he has a venue with a permanent stage.

Queen and Rick James' Estate approves. Of further royalties. Biatch!

I'm guessing subby is very young or just dumb.

I think subby must have just picked a random year from olden times.

Vanilla Ice, yes.

Hammer had three multiplatinum albums and at least four hit singles. He's not really a one hit wonder.

On a side note, the writer of that article was being a dick.

Is that guy related to McHammer?

MC Hammerhead disapproves of this turn of events.

Hammer has a huge following on Twitter. Me included for some odd reason.

Don't see why not, like 90% of the images you see posted here (unless in a photoshop thread) are just saved from other places on the net or from other threads on here and rehosted, etc.

Maybe subby lives an alternate dimension where both of these clowns had hits in the 80s....
plausible?

i actually went to the original Hammer and Vanilla concert, at he now defunct Richfield Coliseum in Ohio. En Vogue was also on the ticket.

One of the kids i was with pissed on the head of a poor guy in the seats in front of us. He was with his family and children. I felt really bad for him, but also thought it was hilarious.
