Is it weird that every time I see conjoined twins, I wonder about how awkward it is to pee?

From the way the story goes, it sounds like their domestic disputes equal those of Rihanna and Chris Brown.

Narcism: Is it weird that every time I see conjoined twins, I wonder about how awkward it is to pee?

Especially since these two share a penis. At least some conjoined twins have genitalia to each call their own.

They're not as cute as those teenage girls with 2 heads. But it's always one of those things that leaves your mouth hanging open. Buddy of mine used to live in Dayton, I'm sure he knows them.

their vital organs join in the digestive tracts - so they have one lower intestine and one set of sexual organs... "Their male function has been normal. And that's something that, when they were younger, had to be addressed because they had the normal male urges and the normal hormones. Trying to channel those so they didn't become aggressive or frustrated was an issue."... "Their lower intestine is one. One penis, one rectum. Donnie has control of that..."

That's really tame compared to the questions that go around in my head.

I was going to say, just compare to the life of Abigail and Brittany Hensel, born in 1990. Society is just so different for them - they went to regular school and have more or less normal lives.

They are more conveniently arranged, though (for normal walking), basically one lower half (so yeah they have one set of genitalia), a wide torso, each has one arm, and the each has one head.

Still, looking at them as they get older, one is more straight-standing than the other, and there are scoliosis issues.

Wait a got-damn minute one penis?

I thought I was blowing the other guy!

TwistedIvory [TotalFark] 2009-03-06 11:47:27 PM
Oh man, that's crazy. At some point, though, you'd think they'd have hired a hooker. Or at least Donnie would've.

It would be cool if they got Abigail and Brittany Hensel pregnant.

I would like to see some porn producer offer them & the Hensel twins (in two years when they turn 18) 4 million (a mill per head) to do a porn movie.

come on, you know you'd watch.

Why do they get two names? Should be one name per penis.

Sounds like a good marriage to me!

zombieFart 2009-03-07 04:43:35 AM
In know the accepted position is to consider them to be two people. But their nervous system connects at some point. IMO it's one guy, two brains. Three counting the dick.

To further push the point it is believed that some dinosaurs had two brains, one that operates the front half and one that operates the rear.

As to the conjoined twin sex, we need to let this part of the gene pool die off.

Imagine all those arms and legs flailing around. They could title it Octopussy.

Hey, isn't there a website that shows what the offspring of a potential mating would look like? Or was that just on Conan O'Brien?

Under the picture - Extraordinary life ... Ronnie, left, and Donnie share a home in Dayton, Ohio.

If it wasn't for that information I would have definitely assumed they lived in separate residences. Definitely.

And mine.

On the other hand, if they were young and good-looking, I'd have a hell of a twins fantasy going on. The possibilities!

/2 men, 1 dick?

Elvhenk 2009-03-07 05:56:43 AM
No wonder that the one who controls the penis is happy-go lucky and the other one is cranky. Nay surprise!

"At that point of life, you've been joined to someone your whole life and they're dead, and you know what's coming. If that happened to Ronnie and Donnie I think you would have to sedate the other one until nature takes its course."

Since Donnie controls the downstairs, I think he'd beg to differ should Ronnie die first.

"Dad made a living through Donnie and Ronnie, and supported nine kids on that. We're proud of him for that."

Proud that he had so many kids that he couldn't afford to raise them properly? Wow, hero father. Maybe he should get together with Octomom/Clown Car and we could throw them a party.

Why did I read that in this guy's voice?

Tomass the Second 2009-03-07 07:45:20 AM
As someone who grew up in Dayton (Centerville), I'd say these guys are actually pretty normal looking for the region. There's a lot of Appalachian folks in that area, and their lack of genetic diversity (or appreciation of dentistry) makes for some funny looking people.

The pair - who have completely opposite personalities - get so irritated with each other they often have physical FIGHTS.

Made me think of this... (new window)

The funny thing, a link comes up on that Youtube page about those girls 16th birthday!

How "Meta".

It might be worse if they had two, and they were pointing in different directions.

I seems that Ronnie and Donnie should be given the credit for supporting nine kids, not dad. This is a stretch, but at least Dad didn't abandon them as their mom did. In my younger days, I would definitely have given them a little pity sex. Now I'm married and don't take as many drugs. If they had lived in the country they would have already gotten some. City folks can be so prudish! (and country folks so loose)

I'm just blown away after reading the last few lines. Most of us focus on how conjoined twins live, not how they die. But I guess it makes sense that when one dies, the other really can't survive with a body that's only partially alive....

It's still sad as hell thinking of one essentially watching his own flesh and blood (and brother) die and knowing it may be hours before it happens to him, but that it's coming.

NGM 2009-03-07 09:33:58 AM
I just wrote a paper about this/them in A&P2; better conjoined than parasitic I always say. I am an identical twin and I'm fairly sure my sister and I would have been slugging each other to the point of murder/suicide once puberty hit. Heh, it's still fascinating though. The Hensel twins are fascinating as well, R&D are opmhalophagus but better to be that or dicephalic rather than -- www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov

Not one of their seven siblings could be bothered to teach the twins how to read and write? Shame on them.
