Not just her. I can think of dozens of Democrats who need to shut the hell up and not take people's attention away from the Republicans with their idiotic words and actions.

Limbaugh will die of a heart attack before he hits 60.

UPDATE: DCCC Executive Director Brian Wolff fires back: "Rush Limbaugh's reprehensible remark that, ' before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill' is truly outrageous. Leader Limbaugh minimizes the struggle of hardworking Americans without access to affordable health care and demonizes a patriotic Senator who has spent his life fighting so that every person has the opportunity to live the American dream. Leader Limbaugh crossed the line. National Republicans must stand up to their leader, Rush Limbaugh, and tell him that enough is enough."

OK, already. The Democrats have to knock the Rush stuff off. Let Rush take it from here and continue the implosion. He and the GOP don't need any help in that. And the more the DEMs harp on this "leader" stuff, it starts looking less like a clever strategy and more like partisan sniping.

Never let the mark in on the con. It defeats the purpose.

So much this.

What the idiots in the DCCC don't get is that America is farking sick to death of the Republican Party not because it's the Republican Party, but because of the ugly, dishonest tactics they've incessantly and exclusively employed for the last decade or two. The bullshiat firehose is no more appealing just because it's aimed in the opposite direction.

This kind of smirking, childish, petty, partisan gameplaying is not what won Obama and the Democrats their victories in the last two elections.

I swear, it's like the DCCC just went out and hired all the pudgy, rotten, obnoxious GOP congressional staffers they put out of work in 2006 and 2008, and put them in charge of their strategy.

Hideously Gigantic Smurf 2009-03-06 07:17:42 PM
If this is what passes for a "leader", then I now know why righties call Obama the "messiah".

While I agree that this can (and will likely) be overdone, until the RNC publicly states unequivocally that Limbaugh is not their leader, does not speak for them, and repudiates his hateful rhetoric it is not bullshiat or dishonest.

Partisan, smirking? Sure, I guess so.

If Ted Kennedy had the same coverage proposed by this bill. They would just said the word "cost effective" procedure and he would have been long dead by now.

I learned that in the Nanny state of England.

when similarities can actually be drawn b/w the presidential administration and an inflammatory talk show entertainer that is pretty sad.

one is paid to spout inaccuracies and incite their base and the other...is a radio talk show hack.

But first we're naming the national debt after this guy!

Except that Ted would have likely kept his existing coverage, meaning the only thing sinking this time would be the amount his provider paid (since the risk would be standardized and shared more broadly).

Maybe they could name it after Barbara Bush. She's probably not going to last very long either.

AN EXERCISE: Replace the name "Ted Kennedy" with "Laura Bush" or "Dick Cheney".

Do you consider the replacement:
A: Funnier
B: Less funny
C: Equally funny
D: Equally unfunny

Anyone that answered anything other than D should get a grip.

except thats NOT how it works..

My grandma in England needed a new knee at 82. They said she was to old, so here is a free wheelchair (Cost effective).

We in the USA got up the $19k, and she had a private operation. Shw walked for the next 19 years untill she died.

Is that what you want, because it is comming.

This is clearly an insightful and sensible policy observation from Rush. However we shouldn't take it seriously since it's only for entertainment.

/have I nailed the nonsense defense?

It's nice to see that the leader of the Republican party is such a classy guy. It's going to be sweet to see his party even more marginalized the more he keeps this childish shiat up.

Nah. Wait until next year, by then Obama will have contributed more the the national debt than all other presidents combined.

But naming the Democrats' healthcare bill after Kennedy is appropriate. He's already responsible for HIPAA (aka Kennedy Kassebaum), which has been the biggest waste of money healthcare related bill of the millennium.

LOL, like Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party. Was Michael Moore the Democrat leader four years ago? Same difference. Both are entertainers -- though Limbaugh has never been invited to sit beside an ex-President at the party's convention like Moore did in 2004.

People have been saying this any universal health bill would have Kennedy's name on it for months, for obvious reasons.

But Rush said it now, so fark that freedom of speech thing. Light the torches. Onward to the castle.

All comments aired have to have the approval of Daily Kos.

listen to you butthurt people. "wahhhh Rush!" WAAHHHHH

ted kennedy is going to DIE. until you know that, you are useless. if he dies before the legislation goes through, why not name it after him? would it not epitomize senator kennedy's career? would it not be fitting?

oh, but limbaugh said it, so he's a deuchebag.

Moore never had Democratic leaders kissing his ass to appease him or calling him a role model.

No one has ever had to apologize to Michael Moore. The GOP leaders are pussies and Rush is your new leader until you get someone with balls.

I often wonder if I would be fat or fit if I was wealthy.

On one hand, you can afford the best equipment and personal trainers. On the other hand, you can eat the best food on the planet whenever you want in any quantity you want, and if anyone calls you fat you can have your hired goons kill them.

Keep going, Rush! Keep going! You're giving them exactly what they want, in spades. Hope you enjoy your free publicity and piles of cash! In fact, you should do this more.
