Are there truly enough people that would pay to see them to fill a stadium?

There was a time in my life that I tried and tried to get to a GnR concert but was hobbled by commitments, Axl attacking fans (which caused the cancellation of the Alanta concert), etc. but I am now too weary to sit and wait for Axl to take his fat ass on stage two hours after showtime to risk him throwing a hissy fit and leaving after 4 songs. I think he should stick to smaller venues or run the risk of having to cancel alot of tour dates.

Could be worse, he could throw the hissy fit and NOT leave after four songs... continuing to biatch, gripe, and complain during every song break for THE REST OF THE DAMN SHOW.

Let's not pressure him, guys. We need to give him time to prepare so that everything is "perfect." 12 years might not be long enough for him.

I seem to remember going to that back around '02 or so, subby.

Could be worse, you go to see Metallica and GnR only to find yourself amidst a riot.

People can call it a flop all they want, the fact remains it is a good album. As a bonus, it gave the middle finger to the loudness wars, making Death Magnetic sound like absolute shiat in comparison.

I'm not sure that anyone is calling it a flop, per se (I'm certainly not,) but you have to admit that there is something surreal about him taking 15 years to finish the thing. We all knew the title about 12 years ago, and anyone who cares had heard pretty much the whole thing years before he released it.

It isn't that the album is bad, it's just that I've never heard anything so completely overproduced. The final final mixes added nothing to the finished product as far as I could tell, he could have released it five to seven years ago (before the bottom dropped out of the CD market) and nobody but him would have known the difference.

I saw them in 91 (before Izzy left). Best farking concert I've ever been to. Axl was is a great mood for some reason.

Skid Row opened up for them and was actually pretty farking good.

Those were the days...

Saw them in 2006, pretty much sold out the ACC here in Toronto. Good show, usual lame Toronto crowd. Show went about 2 1/2 hours or so (plus the opening acts) and finished somewhere around 2am.

Really what they should do is reduce the number of dates - do a 15 city tour, places like NYC, Boston, Chicago, LA, Toronto, etc. Some overseas dates. And stick to arenas, not stadiums.

THIS.

How sad is it that you need to download a rip from a video game to get a decent sounding copy of Death Magnetic?
