I America, stem cells aren't gathered from abortions. They come from invitro fertilization. Generally when this procedure is done, several eggs are fertilized. But on average, it only takes 2-4 tries for the couple to conceive. This leaves them with several leftover eggs. These can either be flushed or used for science.

Nowhere does abortion ever enter the equation. And since these eggs are donated, nowhere can families "get rich quick" by selling their invitro eggs. Whenever I hear someone arguing against stem cell research, these are the two largest talking points: abortion and "baby farmers."

In short, abortion and stem cell research are two entirely separate issues. Never does one affect the other. You can be as anti-choice or anti-life as you want. Just get your facts straight first.
