Oasis actually puts on a good show. The music is can be rather simple, but it's fun.

I couldn't understand why one would say the PRC treats Tibetans like shiat when all evidence points to the favorable treatment, at least under law, of Tibetans compared to Han. For example, they're exempt from the one-child policy, thus, hopefully, allowing their population to grow and retain their culture. It's true that the large inflow of immigrants into Tibet has the potential of destroying its culture, but this is hardly the PRC's fault, which allocates quite a large budget to the preservation of local culture. Besides, the standard of living of Tibetans was immensely improved with the inflow of capital and development. What would you rather see, hundreds of thousands of Tibetans starving or the primitive feudal culture tarnished? What about the culture of Iraq, almost completely destroyed by the U.S. invasion? Obviously most of you are anti-Iraq-war, but consider also what your own country is doing and how hypocritical it sounds for Americans to criticize another country's lack of respect for culture.. As for the Tibetans being tortured, violently oppressed etc. etc., I doubt there is any actual reliable information about that. But I could comfortably say that the oppression is not far different from, say, what's happening in Basque, southern Sudan, or what has happened in northern Ireland. Why the focus on the PRC?
