I have to think that the fact that I listened to Caralho Voador from the KFOD album 4 times today played no small part in this. You're welcome.

I heard Patton was supposed to have another project (Mondo Cane) come out this year? Haven't kept up much since Peeping Tom first came out.

Jim's busy in the future, founding the Faith No More Spiritual and Theological Center.

/Excellent.

This is just what the modern music world needs. Seems like all 'rock' bands these days mass produce crap. FNM was clever, talented, and extremely creative. The perfect mix of musicians. I can't wait until they tour the US. If they make it that long.

/has a serious man crush on Mike Patton
//ok not really, but he is da man!

Yeah, because there's nothing cooler than a bunch of guys in their 50s trying to play rock music like they were still in their 20s.

The irony of being Naked In Front Of A Computer right now... awesome!

mahavishnunj 2009-03-05 12:29:32 AM
i cannot believe people like king for a day or AOTY. talk about epic failure. when mr bungle reunites we will have something to talk about.

Bhasayate [TotalFark] 2009-03-05 12:53:13 AM
I dig all of their albums. Angel Dust was seriously whack, but in the best of ways. But AOTY? It's got "got that feeling", "mouth to mouth", "stripsearch", and "naked in front of the computer", incredibly original tunes, that kick major ass. The drums on NIFOTC, nice. The guitar parts work well ...

Side note --- "The Perfect Crime" ... it sounds like a song FNM wrote with the old singer that they had laying around. Perhaps at that time Patton was trying to sound like the old singer?

fark em if they won't play the states. I saw em back in the day anyways, if you weren't there you missed it. Its good to see Bill Gould getting more work tho.

The song that got me hooked on FNM and Mike Patton:

Cuckoo for Caca

Choosing to sing like that while you have one of the most beautiful voices in the universe means you're one sick and twisted genius.

But what if I started a joke that started the whole world laughing? You seem to be proficient at the gentle art of making enemies.

/thinks it's lame too, but it's funny when you get your manties in a bunch about it.

i didn't realize it was all an elaborate conspiracy to irritate me.

i just thought it would be more interesting to, you know, talk about the band. a really interesting band with a lot more going for it than song titles.

i started a joke was written by the beegees, btw.

has anyone payed attention to the dozens of rumors of the past decade about a FNM reunion, only to have your little fanboy hopes dashed by patton announcing he was going to do a goddamn hip hop album or an avant garde metal album or something?

i'm pretty darn stoked.

and the song titles thing was never funny.

Brings back great memories. Saw them twice in one week on the Real Thing tour at L'Amours and L'Amours East. The Nestle White and Lionel Ritchie encore the first show was one of the funniest things I ever saw.
