Hey, now, Inland Empire was cool... long as hell, but cool.

I love Donovan. And adore Paul.

I am 2 episodes from the end of watching Twin Peaks for the first time, and aside from cooper and about 3 other characters, I was stunned at how terrible it is, for all the good things I've heard about it.

I watched TP back when it first aired. At first I found it interesting and quirky, then it turned into the bizarre and never went anywhere or gave us any resolution.

I'm reminded of it every time I hear people talk about Lost.

I agree. Plus the DVD has David Lynch making Quinoa, which is worth the price alone.

Careful there... every time I try suggesting that LOST is a giant circle-jerk that's heading towards an incoherent conclusion it inspires a frenzy of whaaargarbl from hardcore fans who claim that the plot makes perfect sense (as long as you accept things that make no sense as 'things which will be explained later' rather than 'things the writers thought were cool at the time which they now have no idea how to explain').

For me, David Lynch falls under WTF? How Did This Get Funded?

He has his fans, though.

I still don't see what is so great about Blue Velvet. Maybe drugs would help.

If David Lynch movies put you to sleep, you are probably a sociopath.

/If they give you nightmares, on the other hand - that's pretty normal.

Inland Empire did not grab me.

Lost Highway grabbed me and still hasn't let go.

It's a crapshoot.

But Inland Empire has bunnies. Kids like bunnies, right?

Are you kidding? I saw that for the first time about a month ago and was blown away. One of my personal favorites now. Mulholland Drive was another, though I'm not sure that I can forgive him for Dune.

INLAND EMPIRE 10/10 on my IMDB rating.

wow, I'm the only Lynch fan here who thought Inland Empire was boring as fark? The rabbits portions were nice and creepy, everything else went absolutely nowhere. I turned it off midway through as I was sick of the film seeming like it was leading up to something big and then going nowhere.

Good work subby. Lynch is so perhaps the most overrated film maker evereverever

HappyHarryHardOn [TotalFark] 2009-03-04 11:37:36 PM
Im conflicted. Parts of his movies are as good as any director has ever done and the other parts are the most meandering, frustrating , pointless, masturbatory, pretentious and boring scenes ever committed to film

so usually its a fight between with parts overtake the other
