Would someone send Tina Turner over there to smack some sense into that biatch?

The wedding reception is sure to be a hit!

If I married the girl who invented "umbrella-ella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh" I'd punch her in the mouth, too.

What, too soon?

Fine. You marry him and we don't have to hear about you anymore. Bu-bye.

"Rihanna is looking for the husband-and-two-kids deal before she turns 25. She believes in fairy tales, and she wants to live hers with Chris."

Apparently she believes in the J.K. Rowling kind of fairy tales, a la Beedle the Bard (from Wiki):

"The Warlock's Hairy Heart"
The story is about a young and handsome warlock who decides to never fall in love, so he uses Dark Arts to prevent himself from doing so. His family, hoping he will change, does nothing. However, one day, he hears two servants whispering about him not having a wife, so he decides to find a talented, rich, and beautiful witch and marry her to gain everyone's envy.

He meets that girl the next day. Though the girl is both "fascinated and repelled", the warlock persuades her to come to a dinner feast at his castle. During the feast, she tells him that she needs to know he has a heart. The warlock shows her his beating hairy heart inside a crystal casket in his dungeon. The witch begs him to put it back inside himself. After the warlock does so, she embraces him. However, being disconnected from its body for so long, his heart has developed savage tastes as it has degenerated into an animalistic state. And so he is driven to take by force a truly human heart. He tears out the witch's heart to replace his own, but finding that he cannot magic the hairy heart back out of his chest, he cuts it out with a dagger. Thus he and the maiden both die, with him holding both hearts in his hands.

I hope she never gets beat, but she will.
I can't say I'll be sympathetic.

What the serious fark is she thinking? What is wrong with battered women standing by their men??

I get that sometimes, there's kid involved, or lack of options/choices - but she's Rihanna for fark sakes, it's not like she doesn't have other options...

Love is not only blind, but seriously retarded.

It must be hard for a woman that looks like Rihanna to be able to find a man that can look at her and want to beat her up. Takes a special kind of man so if you find a man like that, you hold on to him because they are special.

Seriously, some women/people are farked up and want to be controlled in a relationship. Should we feel bad for her if he puts in the hospital or kills her next time. A little I suppose.

Maybe she can use her Umbrella ella ella ella to shield his fist fist fist. Once a beater always a beater. It is hard to rehab that kind of man.

//he will end up putting her in the hospital, not by knocking her up but by knocking her around...and beating her even more...

She might be thinking that Chris Brown has a lifetime of making it up to her now. She is a celebrity after all - many of them love it when people worship the ground they walk on.

I came in here to say this.

But seriously, WTF?

I know she's a victim, and as such she doesn't deserve blame, but I can't stop thinking about the teenage girls whom she influences as a public figure and the message this sends to them.

But in the end, fark Chris Brown, he deserves any and all blame for this

There can be a very fine line between horseplay and domestic violence and to be honest I think if my missus had a massive forehead like hers, I'd be tempted to give it a bit of a slap every now and again. Not in a nasty way. I'd just get her in a headlock and open palm it a bit, probably whilst making some monkey-like grunts and hoots. It's simply too big a noggin for me not to do that. I'd also like to add that I think they both seem like very level headed, grounded people and I wish them every success in their married life.

Reverend Otis 2009-03-04 04:53:06 PM
She's marrying the guy she deserves. I see no problem here.

Should I have beat her? Maybe that would have made her stay.

A lot of stations have dropped Brown from their playlists.

I think it's time they dropped this idiot too. Seriously not a good example to set for all the kids who follow these nitwits.

According to American tabloid Star, "the couple had a tearful fistface-to-face meeting at Diddy's $14.5 million Miami mansion, during which an emotional Rihanna Chris apologized, begged for forgiveness and proposed to him her on the spot."

Fixed.

Aside from the immediate cycle of abuse this story promotes, I'm concerned about the way prominent musicians in Chris Brown's genre are treating this. According to this article, Sean Combs is sheltering the couple, according to this article (new window), "Singer Ne-Yo told MTV that Brown is still his 'homeboy at the end of the day.' Kanye West reportedly asked a crowd to 'Give Chris a break.""

Hip-hop and it's extensions have enough of a black eye (no pun intended) in society regarding the callousness in which they talk about guns and drugs, as well as strong misogynistic content, the last thing they need is to appear as if domestic battery is ok, and not a big deal. It's one thing to say, "biatches ain't shiat but hoes and tricks", but quite another to say, "you can hit them around if you don't get what you want".

Some prominent player like Jay-Z needs to come out and say this is not how real men act. Otherwise, the prevailing thought in this article (new window) will continue to spread:

A junior at Lake Forest High School, said a common reaction among students to Chris Brown's alleged attack on Rihanna goes something like this: "Ha! She probably did something to provoke it."

I doubt that statement in the picture is true. Even a woman with average-ish intellig- oh wait.

BAWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I stopped feeling sorry for her 3 days ago when she went back to him. Sorry woman, but you had the whole country offering to help. And you turned us down.
