Criminal simulation? Great, now video games are illegal. I'm about to get the hell out of this "free" country if things keep going this way.

Laugh if you will, but we save millions in dental costs and women aren't degraded by having to give up their maiden name.

STOP USING PROTIP

The "buyer" was lucky the "seller" was a cop. A real drug dealer probably would have shot him in the face.

To be fair, the oxy's were fake too.
They should both go to jail.

In many places Oxy goes for $1 per mg. So if these were 80mgs, which are still on production, it's actually a deal.

Sheeeit. Seriously? I've got a fair amount of oxycodone and quite a bit of hydrocodone in my medicine cabinet that has accumulated over the years. I may have to reduce stock.

Probably worth more to me to have when I actually need it, though.

Absolutely true. I probably wouldn't sell it though. Don't want to end up in PMITAP. If you hang on to it, watch the expiration dates.

My wifie, whose last job was as a pharmacist in Akron OH, says $1/mg was pretty standard there.

Fake money to buy fake drugs? Your honor, I submit that no actual crime occurred here. Let's all just call it even and go home.

Well, he did forge the cash, so he could be charged with that.

However, many places have laws against selling fake drugs, so the cop may have been breaking the law, too.

Lampmonster: If you hang on to it, watch the expiration dates.

Definitely watch those expiry dates. A few years ago, my mom gave me some vicodin so I wouldn't have to go out and pay for my own prescription, but it turned out it was over a year out of date. I ended up getting a stomach pump and a lecture from the ER doctor, which of course cost FAR more than simply filling the prescription would have :P

ChicagoKev 2009-03-01 01:00:03 AM
Ignore everybody here who says to watch the expiration date.

Unless you are storing prescriptions in excessively hot and humid conditions (Florida with no A/C), one year out of date won't make any difference in safety or potency for painkillers and the like (not advocated using expired antibiotics).

Getting your stomach pumped? At worst, taking "expired" painkillers will have no effect at all, unless you took the whole bottle, there's no way consuming outdated vicodin would require an ER visit.

What do these things do to you?!?

And as stated above, WTF with the stomach pump story?? You think they went bad like last weeks hamburger??
