Arpaio has had several deputies attacked by illegal aliens. Many of these aliens have been deported numerous times. One of the worst cases was the deputy who was attacked in an elevator. The deputy was stabbed in the eye and face in an obvious attempt to murder him. The illegal alien that attacked him had been deported several times.

A Phoenix cop was shot in the face and left to die in the street by an illegal alien.

It's no wonder law enforcement is tired of no help from ICE. Arpaio and the governor had to complain to the White House about ICE refusing to pickup aliens in custody. The head of ICE wasn't fired, he was transferred.

25% of the violent crimes committed in the Phoenix area are committed by illegal aliens. It seems that people are willing to put up with a certain level of crime and corruption due to illegals and gangs as long as it's not in their neighborhoods.
