Dude, it is exactly the same way with rock music. You have 5% which is outstandingly brilliant, and 95% of shiat. It has always been this way.

The Jonas Bros don't actually play thier own instruments, they have other musicians on stage to 'help'. So how can they be that bad?

The Jonas Bros. aren't really a "band." They are more akin to a stage production, in the Vegas sense. They are fine for their target market, but their career will be short lived.

They almost make me nostalgic for "Hanson."

Actually Hanson left their label in 2000, they also wrote most of their own material. Jonas Brothers are at least listenable, Miley Cyrus is not. OTOH, I think Billy Ray Cyrus is not as bad as advertised.

I knew I had heard that before and just couldn't place it.

I'll take the jonas brothers over Hannah Montana any day.

At the summer camp I worked for this summer, we played the SAME cycle of music for the camp dance every week. Which mostly consisted of Camp Rock and YMCA. And I was contractually obligated to dance like a 9 year old.
JoBros aren't all that bad for bubblegum pop and there are worse role models for kids.
