Wow, I liked this song the first time I heard it...4 MONTHS AGO. It's a sad day for Fark when it's behind my friends on Myspace who live in the sticks who post this on their Myspace blogs.

Don't be mad Subby, you can always continue submitting videos from Around the Net on Attack of the Show.

Yeah, chill out subby. Haven't your tears irritated your skin yet? You probably don't even belong to any Facebook groups, or even warcraft guilds. Try to control all your anger and jealousy, subby.

I see what you did there. You used satire to poke fun at a satirist. You couldn't possibly believe that a guy who takes popular songs and swaps out words for other words that sound similar is one of the few true arrtists left.

Whatevs. I realize his schtick is old, but that doesn't make me a troll. Weird Al is mildly amusing, but nothing any morning dj or adolescent with too much time on his hands couldn't do. One of the few true artists left, he is not. If that makes me a troll, so be it.

Wow. You're just plain ignorant. And your shtick is old, not his.

How about listening to one of his albums? Over half of his albums are original material. Not everything he does is parodies.

He's also remained relevant longer than most of the people he's parodied over the year. He's got a great ability to adapt, play and write multiple styles. If that doesn't make you a good artist, I don't know what does.

ALSO, I might add, he does a fantstic live show. One of the best, most energetic, fun live shows I've ever been to.

But go ahead and continue to prove what an idiot you are. It's fun to watch.

The only reason we know this guy's name is because of the fame other people have gained through their art/music. Putting out albums every few years doesn't make you relevant. His voice is horrendous.

You are Weird Al's biggest fan. I am an idiot. Got it.

I will agree that this is old news due to the fact that the song has been available on his website for many weeks now. I will also agree that he is one of the best artists out there. Most people don't know that he makes original music, or that he can play almost any instrument. All the masses hear is the rehashed popular tunes. FOOLS THEY ARE!!!

/this is the life!

He's one of the few true artists because he initiated it first.

Just because youtube is filled with people who like swapping out words of popular songs because they watched too much Mad TV doesn't mean they would have figured out the formula back in the days of cassette tape.

You know, I was going to kill myself today, but then I visited Fark and saw a flamewar in a Weird Al thread and thought, "You know, maybe my life isn't so sad and pathetic that it can't possibly get worse."

Thank you, Fark.

Peit 2009-02-24 05:55:11 PM
Old yes, but it is a fun break from all the bad economic news.

And he is very talented. Anyone who knows the skill it takes to be a good musician and looked at how he can do any style, has a huge vocal range, does awesome original work, and a kickass live show would notice. He and his band are also very nice and classy guys. Is he to everyone's preference? Of course not.
