Sounds like the perfect cover for an abattoirs for shiatty, mediocre minor-celebrity hacks. They head behind the curtain after their five minutes with Snoop and are never seen or heard from again.

I think I will pitch this as MTV's next reality show.

How is this "Cool"?

jasonthenino 2009-02-24 11:45:58 AM
actually, viewers who are 35 would be the ones who were listening to snoop dogg when he was relevant.

Cyxneo 2009-02-24 11:46:34 AM

I am wondering why it is still called MTV when they haven't played music videos in years.

Yea, TRL was a music show, but they never showed the whole video.

I'm glad MTV has decided to employ more gang members. It isn't like Snoop is making a lot of money lately.

"Dogg After Dark" is also wise advice for anyone wishing to have sex in a public car-park.

It should have been "Dogg After Relevancy".

Could be worse, this is MTV after all.

Dinobot 2009-02-24 12:02:55 PM
Will he invite Martha Stewart and do mashed potates together?

And what little pieces they did play were usually drowned out by the kids screaming and yelling why they like that song.

Interesting. I'm about to turn 35, and yeah, I don't get it, either.

I just find it HILARIOUS when they give subtitles to people are supposedly speaking English. You rappers and ebonics speakers, you know who you are.

i'm glad that when i was a kid i was an American growing up on MTV Europe. 120 Minutes and Alternative Nation rocked my world. Stuff that was "alternative" in the US was top 40 over there. While i was eating my breakfast before school i'd see an old Cure video and the next day it was Sisters of Mercy. Ray Cokes cracked me up.

airbornbrian 2009-02-24 02:53:45 PM
HAHAHA! Is funny because no one over 20 watches MTV anymore!

I'm old enough to wonder why MTV doesnt have music anymore... isn't that what the M stood for?

I also remember a time when people of color were confined to "Yo! MTV Raps"

Umm, this show has already been on the air for atleast a week. There was already a fark headline about Paris Hilton making a fool of herself on the show.

Reason number 3 why I refuse to subscribe to cable TV until ala-carte packages are offered is because of MTV. If you don't play music videos, you're not a music channel.

/Not wanting to pay for ESPN 1-6 and all the fundie channels are reasons 1 and 2
//over the air TV FTW

CitizenTed [TotalFark] 2009-02-24 06:18:47 PM
Time to get all ethnic.

Like subby, I can barely understand most black entertainers. Same goes for black ex-pro sports announcers. They may as well be Glaswegians. I can pick out some words here and there, but for the most part it's just gibberish to me.

/Bill Cosby has FAILED.
//You can paint me with the BIGOT brush now. I'm ready.

A: Fo'drizzle.

/Been waiting for a chance to use that one

Doggie Fizzle Televizzle was the shiznit, I don't care what anyone says.

Batts 2009-02-24 11:33:03 PM
Ummm yea it;s been on the air for a week or two now, I've seen one episode. It was aight, kinda reminded me of the Intermissions during one of those Thanksgiving Magic in Vegas specials on TV, you know, the ones hosted by that dude from Growing Pains. It was decent though, had a couple live performances, some interviews with other celebs, I think he's got Johnny Knoxville on this week.
