I'm protesting this headline. The submitter and modmins should have clearly known that I would take offense to it as it is clearly racist.

The cartoon referenced...which I don't get and which seems awfully tacky...

The cartoon was stupid but I don't think it was the cartoonist's intention to symbolize Obama as a primate. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway it seems to me that those protesting this are drawing more attention to the "black=monkey" comparison, which is heinous enough without being brought up unnecessarily.

Lets hope this little guy lasts longer than the stingrays, the elephant, and emo goat. A friend of mine is a PR person for the Calgary Zoo, and the last few years have been a tough time there because of the high profile animal losses.
