Isn't this a scam that radio stations do? They get some ex-rocker celeb to host a talk show, they get a lot of free press on it, and then don't given them any support or advertising and let 'em flounder until their ratings suck enough that they take them off the air and return to their preferred "Wacky Morning Zoo Crew!@" format?

I'm certain that Henry will enjoy the pants off himself; I just hope he can bring in listeners.

Any chance it'll be syndicated, or webcast, for us listeners outside the area?

I am SO tired of everyone hating on Maroon 5! They're very talented, and that lead singer is ho...Jesus I can't go through with it.

Most irritating thing about Maroon 5? The videos, with the constant implication that the singer is, in fact, a love machine. it just reeks of douche. Cracked did a hilarious mockery of it, but I'm too lazy to find it.

Damn. I was hoping he'd somehow replace Adam Carola in my market.

Adam Carolla is gone in L.A. after tomorrow, as is the entire FM Talk format.

We get another Top 40 station! Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Britney, Chris Brown, Usher!!!

YAY!!! We only had 29 stations of absolute shiat! Now we have 30!

He probably will, considering he's been doing a radio show for a long time.

This happens to be a New show.

In the words of Jimmy Kimmel:

"Adam Carolla looks like Pete Sampras with Downs Syndrome."

The show's going to be on KCRW.com up for listening until the next episode airs. Not sure if this includes podcasting.

Great, more teenage angst from some old washed up "singer".

Or as J. Norton points out so eloquently "a wannabee comedian who avoids the risk of being a comedian. Instead, you hide behind this "spoken word" schtick. That way if no one laughs, it wasn't supposed to be funny anyway."

A bigger wuss you'd be hard pressed to find.

Have you actually ever listened to any of Rollins "spoken word"? The shiat is absolutely hilarious not to mention that he is a well thought out and articulate speaker, while I can't agree with all of his views he does make a shiat-ton of excellent points. The man is well traveled and well read, something most people in the limelight are not.

The fact that he's actually smart(God forbid!) and not some knuckle-dragging toadie(like Jim Norton) makes him even more listenable, IMO. I don't agree with everything he says, either, but I've never changed the channel when he's been on TV.

If I can get it live, I may call in and request Maroon 5 just to raise his ire.

/Yeah. I'm a liar too.
//Yeah, but you're not as good a liar as this guy.

Sounds like a restructuring. 103.1 went and had some good shows and 97.1 goes. The only two stations worth listening to. So they are taking the best talent from both and tarting a new station. Maybe there will be the Leykis/Rollins Hour.

I was never a big Black Flag fan or anything, but the open letters he did on his television show were pretty funny. You can youtube them.

Leaving out all the spoken word bullshiat, have you ever SEEN Henry Rollins? I'm pretty sure he would help you with your definition of "wuss"
