Eh, they're missing a y in a part of the name that's nearly buried under the main logo. It's not like they misspelled "Metallica"

it's a mispelling of a real guy's name. so, in a way, you're correct.

Headline would be more representative if submitter had only omitted every 4th 'y' and used a way more ridiculous number of them.

Simply by clicking a button? Somehow I doubt Skynyrd is in spell-check. My guess is that they ran spell-check (it's full retard not to) and it brought Skynrd up, but they assumed it was the correct spelling. If you sound it out, 'Skynrd' looks more correct than 'Skynyrd'. For such an oddball name I would have done a quick Google search to confirm, though.

To Activision's credit... the name appears 3 times on the cover and 66% of the time the typo is covered up.

A) Older women who are tired of singstar and haven't heard about Rock Band.

B) Kids under 14 for the pretty neon graphics and easy/forgiving notes.

C) People who basically just want to shred on a plastic guitar randomly.

D) Rednecks.

Rock Band is undeniably the better music game. The overdrive actually makes your instrument sound fuller and deeper. The graphics are much better. The instruments look less like toys and don't make that ridiculous clicking noise. The song list is more approachable to people who like classic tunes. The DLC rapes GH:WT's DLC (500 songs vs 80)

I own both games and was very disappointed with WT.

I like the feel of the GH guitars, but the set list from Rock Band is REALLY a draw.

Doesn't matter to me. However, my favorite guitar player of all time is Gar Rssngtn.

Go to Circuit Sh*tty. Things are on clearance now, so you should be able to get both for not much more than one or the other normally costs.

"Tuesday's Gone" is the only Lynyrd Skynyrd song I ever disliked. Listen to the cymbal crash on every measure. Soon, that'll be ALL you ever hear. Love Bob Burns, but hated his drums on that song.

I take it you've never gotten past Medium. If so, you're correct, the notes are wildly unrelated to the sound.

Expert, however, does a great job of matching the song note-for-note, with some notable exceptions (the original Ace of Spades was a travesty, for instance).

Good call, that, but unfortunately all the CS stores I've gone into have been HORRIBLY picked over. Just going into one was pretty damned depressing. All I found was the GH Guitar only game. Didn't even find a Rock Band 2 for the PS3.

I had a canary yellow v-neck shirt with a big 70's collar with the Skynyrd "Street Survivors" album cover (with the fire still in the background) on the front, and a giant shiny rainbow pot leaf and a misspelled "Lynrd Skynrd" on the back. It was the greatest shirt ever made, but I lost it when I moved. I think my former roommate might have stolen it. I can't really blame him for stealing that fine article of clothing.
