What's really sad is that our politicians today are so corrupt that they don't even think they have to hide the corruption anymore. Instead of more convoluted scandals like Teapot Dome or Savings and Loan, our Treasury now just comes out and says, "yeah we're just gonna take 700 billion of your money, cuz, uh...we need it." And then the government says, "Yeah, ditto. Except it's 800 billion. Thanks!"

We as citizens should demand of our politicians more creative ways to steal our money. That's the least they can do.
