I've seen superchunk more than any other band. They're not my favorites or anything, they just used to play the metro 250 times a year. Pretty good show though.

"from the Curve" was good, but later stuff sucked.

Dammit...I saw Tenacious D at the HoB in LA about 8-9 years ago in a benefit for the Young Actors Gang. And I could have swore one of the opening comedy acts was called Superchunk. It featured one guy dressed as a perfect preppy...the other with a huge afro wig and Blues Brothers type suit. I can't remember much other than a song about Chuck Norris (the pale white brother with the skin so porous).

Now I have to try and figure out who the hell that band was.

Yeah, Arcade Fire, whose first album was nominated for a grammy for album of the year in 2005, and whose second album debuted at #1 in Canada, #2 in England, and #2 in the US. Really obscure.

And if you don't listen to them or Spoon, do. NOW. Don't know much about M.Ward except that thing he did with Zooey Deschanel.
