In defense of Nikki Sixx, when a performer throws a bottle of water into the crowd, everyone sees because the person that threw it presumably has their undivided attention.

When a random throws an object back, the performer might not see it coming or know what it is.

So it's not the same thing, as the article implies. Yeah his response was harsh, but people shouldn't throw things that are not bras, panties or drugs on to the stage.

I can understand that performers loathe when people throw shiat on stage (it can be dangerous, etc.), but this has-been threw the plastic water bottle into the audience and the women just threw it back.

He should be grateful that people are still willing to pay money to see him perform.

If it's being returned to the person that threw it, sure they should. If he's not prepared for audience members to throw shiat back he shouldn't be throwing shiat into the audience.

He didn't get pissed because something was thrown near him. He was pissed that she didn't see the his water bottle as something valuable enough to hold on to as a keepsake. That was the blow to his ego that set him off.

He shoulda brushed it off and just let it go, I had a drunk guy who was onstage for a audience participation group sing-a-long fall into my drum kit and displaced most of my kit. I Bit my tongue and calmly put the kit back in place and counted off back into the song, meanwhile security removed him from the venue.

I saw Jerry Cantrell in San Antonio several years ago promoting his first or second solo album. Motherfarker stops in the middle of a song because he sees someone wearing an LAPD hat, goes into a rage, and kicks the guy out. WTF. I paid to see you do a show, man. Do the farking show.
