I wonder if they're working to make the language more efficient by eliminating excess words?

I foresee the day where the most popular Global Language Monitor term will be "Global Language Monitor."

MANCAVES, BROMANCE, TEXTAHOLIC, METROSEXUAL, CHICONOMICS. This "Global Language Monitor" is doing a piss poor job of keeping retarded phrases out of our language.

Fashion-wise I'm really loving this recession. I've been doing some serious thriftwhoring and have been picking up some good deals. My favorite skirt right now is a long floral-print Gaultier I got for $12.

My next wants are a fitted cream-colored blazer, a plethora of vintage stick pins, a yellow silk scarf, and a good red leather bag that can fit my 15" MacBook Pro and will last for ten years. And maybe a couple of thrifted power suits.

I like monitors. They're nasty, carrion feeding boogers. Just need some pics and this thread will be complete.

Chiconomics: The study of how college students allocate resources. More specifically, instead of the guns vs. butter diagram, chiconomics always uses a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale vs. Top Ramen diagram. (Note: More resources are always spent on the Sierra Nevada.)

This. While I normally use thrift stores for clothing most people pay out the arse for, it's really been nice lately.

If so, it's not working.

Not much "global" about this "Global Language Monitor". It only focusses on the English language. Which, I guess, is to correctly say that it's the only language that matters. Funny, this group comes from Texas which should be 50%+ Spanish-speaking before I die.

As irritating as they are, those words are effective douchebag detectors.
