I'd say that the headline is amusing, but I've been informed that it's against the rules.

I expect the cure to be worse than the disease.

Especially because in another thread he was going on about how he had been on Fark for ages and had just changed to a new name.

To keep this post on topic, a buddy of mine actually got salmonella from this peanut butter.

No, it isn't. Read "The Jungle" - you'll be very happy that things like that didn't happen for most of the 20th century until that farking moron Reagan broke the US government and every president since continued the demolition.

Read what it used to be like, realize how much better it became with Govt. inspection and regulation, and then realize how fast it is going into the shiatter without proper regulation and enforcement.

Or, look at China. But at least in China, when they fark up like this, the business owners are executed or commit suicide.

If I got salmonella from this, I would go back through the news for the last decade and see which legislators knew about the problem and didn't fix it, and then sue the holy living crap out of them. I don't have a vested interest to even begin the research, but I'm sure there are past stories out there, especially when you look at the tomato problem recently - I think a whole lot of produce was held until the origins of tainted tomatoes could be determined.

Of course most couldn't, and regardless it was held so long it spoiled, and many farmers lost a good chunk of their crop because we couldn't track origins. Every person quoted in every one of those stories knew about the problem, and if they have any obligation to protect the public as part of their jobs, should be hanged.

We (more than once, unfortunately) got 8 people --- 2 in front, 4 in back, and 2 in the way-back --- plus all our assorted gear, and a cello into a 1976 Honda Civic.

By 1976, they were making the "bigger" Civics, though, so it's not as bad as all that.

And if you're in the way-back, you can pop the covers off the tail-light housings, and pretend they are now the computer consoles of your interstellar transport ship. (Pretty, blinky lights. Ooooooh!)

I have a '93 Honda civic that barely works, and I don't even have a driver's license. Basically my parents wanted to get rid of it without wasting it, since it still kind of moves if you kick it enough.

Fixed to apply to me. Aren't those old rice-rockets awesome? Mine is red and gets 41 MPG.
