Except that a deal had been struck that one of the governor of New Hampshire would appoint a Republican as his replacement. I think that the GOP pressured Gnaibunto dropping out not on policy differences, but because they did not have the resources to fight for his seat in the future with what was likely going to be a weak candidate.

I should have said "originally led to speculation." I forgot about the deal. I wasn't really following that aspect of the story closely.

The 'some damn thing' is moving the census to the West Wing where Obama can manipulate every congressional district and electoral allotment in the US. Add this to the health care electronic monitoring proposal where the Feds will decide what is appropriate treatment for you, and I wouldn't want to be part of it either.

That is the most blatant politically based move he's made so far, without any reasonable explanation other than to give Rhambo an opportunity to favorably redistrict the country for the Dems.
