And from the creationist side, we get "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider.

No DEVO? That's an extinction-level FAIL.

I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're going through

/Turn and face the strange

Devo's "Mongoloid" (if we're strictly speaking about titles)? "Jocko Homo" works better overall though.

Too old/obvious? Then how about Polysics' "DNA Junction?

A couple things more suitable than Fatboy Slim:
REO Speedwagon - "Roll With the Changes"
Frank Zappa - "Flakes" (in an Idiocracy sorta way)
Daft Punk - "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger"
And one especially for the fundie crowd: Kool & the Gang - "Jungle Boogie"

It was an awesome show. The only played three Ween songs Blue Balloon, Stallion pt.4, ???, other than that they played B-Sides. After the show Gener hopped into his Honda Pilot, backed into a Doge Charger, and took off. It's a great time you should check them out if you get a chance.

The Kinks - Ape Man

In man's evolution, he's created the city and the motor traffic rumble/
But give me half a chance and I'll be taking off my clothes and living in the jungle.

The new Napalm CD is killer. Better than 95% of the crap that is heavy music today.

I agree. Napalm Death has been at their peak since 2002 or so and they just keep getting better and better. they continue to own the entire grind genre.

I'm a staunch supporter of the Meritocracy form of government combined with a light, European style socialism...so I really like the song.

I didn't even know they were still together until last week. I thought they broke up in the 90s or vanished to that same place all the 80s hair metal bands and 90s ska bands etc. all went to.

no way. they have put out six full lengths since 2000. they tour all the time (i'm convinced they don't actually have homes, they are always on the road). I saw them a while back and they played to a crowd of about a thousand people. surprised you haven't heard of them for a while.

REM's "Losing My Religion" refers to a southern expression that means losing one's temper. It has nothing to do with evolution.

I've found that NOFX has a knack for putting clever, thought provoking lines in the middle of songs that on the surface seem to be about as deep as a puddle.

DEVO is upset at their non-inclusion, Subby.

/Are we not men?

That's a shiatty, off-base list even for a shiatty, off-base list. Even a run of the mill shiatty, off-base list would have "Shock the Monkey" for having monkey in the title.

The real list would be all Devo and "Pets" by Porno for Pyros.

Chris Smither "Origin of Species"

The Low Anthem "Charlie Darwin" (not about evolution, just Darwin reference)

Also, I hate to bring up painful memories of my own youth, but:

Dave Matthews Band "Proudest Monkey" and "Big Eyed Fish"
