It's a shame that the world will never have another Aretha because image is more important than talent and so many people think software can fix everything.

But she really should have put the damn pies down.

Aretha's an icon of American music. There'll never be another one. She belongs in the same pantheon with Mahalia Jackson, Billie Holiday, & Sarah Vaughan.

She deserves a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

I know it's an Otis Redding song. But she sang it.
