Oh, man. That's all this depressing show needs: ICP opening.

That would be like staring at a baby's coffin for 2 hours

Isn't it possible this could fail so badly it wraps around to win?

What a timely story for me. I live in SLC and had to go to St. George, UT for business. On my way home (apparently in Orem), I saw a sign for this show. When I got home, the wife and I had a great laugh about the billing, and I remembered that when I was in High School, some kids went to the exact same show (in CT). I didn't know this was a one time deal in '09, but it sure gave me a laugh when I saw the billing.

The sad thing is that when I was about 11, this would have been one of the hottest tickets to have.

Know what the strange thing is? Vanilla Ice's drummer is my co-worker. He's been on LOA for a few years touring with him.

He's regular employee. He's just been on leave of absence for about three years or so. I don't know if he's coming back to work or not. He's probably making pretty good money playing drums.

The real question is who would go to this show and why?

MAn, Im really curious to know how much those tickets cost. Could have been funnier than any living standup

I cannot stress enough that bad shows makes for hilarious times. Go to the next Motley Crue and email me about it... You will never have seen so many bandanas in your life

This is not a good sign people. We need to make sure that Yanni, Kenny G, and John Tesh do not form a super group as well, because if both acts perform at the same time in key locations on ley line nexus points then they will open a portal into a dimension of pure evil! The resulting dimensional rift will belch forth a torrent of pure, sucky evil that destroy us all! My God, what we allowed to transpire!?!

We must act now!

I would rather listen to MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice on loop for a year, than listen to ICP for a full day.

Everyone relax. The concert is taking place in Utah, perhaps the most expendable of the 50 states.

This state's got some kind of history with these weird one-off shows. The Rage Against The Machine show at the rodeo grounds in the (not exactly sprawling) metropolis of Spanish Fork back in 1996 is still the stuff of legend.

I could take a Hammer concert, he seems to be able to laugh at himself. I saw all of two episode of his "Surreal Life" back when it was on WB and he seemed to catch on faster than the others that it was a bunch of has-beens fooling around.

Ice seemed to think he was just one big break from being on the charts again for about 15 years after "Ice Ice Baby" came out. All of the wife-beating and drug crap seems to keep the Nostalgic feelings at bay.

Yet another thing to make this place a huge embarrassment to the rest of the country, like we didn't already have enough. On the other hand....

...I full agree with this.

MC Hammer was a great guy when he was on top, he employed about 35% of the Bay Area. His music was fun and entertaining - sure he killed his career with the Gangsta sh*t but that's a minor mistake. And he deserves another chance.

Ice always was and always will be a prick. Suge should have dropped him. But Cool as Ice is one of the best movies out there.
