The one good thing about the Boobie-Hysteria from a few years ago is since that time we have gotten some genuinely good acts like Bruce or Prince instead of a rotating door of flash in the pan losers doing 15 second versions of their hits.

Why do they continue to get musical acts that are past their prime. I like Bruce and the Who, but aren't there other bands or acts that aren't in their late 50's or 60's that they can choose? They're trying to appeal to as many people as possible, what's often condescendingly referred to as the lowest common denominator. The half time show is just part of the spectacle, it's not supposed to be musically satisfying.

Aerosmith already did the halftime show at Superbowl XXXV. Well kind of. They were joined onstage by Britney Spears, Nelly, Mary J. Blige and *NSYNC. Walk This Way was played, and that's really all I can remember of that performance.

Get Pearl Jam, they will close with Baba O'Riley anyway.

Cheap Trick cannot be judged (though they usually are) by the song or two you hear on the radio. They inspired a whole generation of rockers with their LIVE show. For real Cheap Trick listen to their first album OR In Color re-recorded by Steve Albini.

I just hope that the Super Bowl continues to avoid the MTV crowd. That was a smart move.

I'd enjoy watching the Foo Fighters. It is right up their alley. Maybe bring out some of the old stuff while they are at it. Although Stacked Actors would never make the cut, I think it'd be pretty funny.
