He's an ass, to be sure, but this was a pretty un-ass thing to say, at least given the rap community's overall attitude towards homosexuality. It's not, "I'm not freaking gay!" or "that's gross!", but "gay people sometimes dress well or poorly, so the comment doesn't mean anything."

Not to say that he hasn't said some homophobic stuff before, but I thought this was pretty cool of him.

I'm all for calling people on their bullshiat, but we should recognize when someone says something decidedly un-douchey, too, unless you just want to believe that people are either 100% douche Pete Wentz or 100% awesome Christopher Walken.

Someone truly secure with themselves don't care about making impressions. They just are, and they leave it to the audience to take it or leave it.
