Defective genes keep Darwin busy, keeps his franchise secure from upstart work-arounds.

Phelyx 2009-02-08 03:33:04 PM
Poor Jerry, first he is dropped as CEO of Yahoo on the failed Microsoft merger then he fails to clone himself.

he is growing in the tank right now. I predict a short but brilliant career again

Nice.

I thought the same thing, though I see what he or she was going for and appreciated the headline.

Humble Origins
He was born on July 31, 1959, and in his first year nearly starved to death in a village called Dong Cun

A very poor village, they didn't even have any t.

Ah, but we all thought he was dead after the cannon exploded.

He's not dead. We just need a frying pan to wake him up.

Gelatinous. You are a real bastard aren't you.

His last words: "Awww... Not again!"

Yang?
The Guardian of the Holies is confused.
He looks like a Kohm.

This just proves that God is against scientists playing God.

/would cloning help with diabeetus?

hufnmouth: Gelatinous. You are a real bastard aren't you.

Oh, geez, I didn't even read what kind of cancer he had -- cancer of the salivary glands (which, if I remember from House, is both extraordinarily painful and deadly). It's a scar. I just thought he had a deeply cleft chin.

Seriously, I'm sorry... I was already going to hell, though.

Xoc 2009-02-08 03:49:02 PM
What an amazing couple of years for that guy! First he wins the World Series of Poker, then he gets kicked out of his job running Yahoo, then he dies, but not before doing significant research on cloning.

No, they're not cloning sheep. It's the same sheep! I saw Harry Blackstone do that trick with two goats and a handkerchief on the old Dean Martin show!

comslave 2009-02-08 04:17:38 PM
Um, well, you could clone the dna, but not the experience or training. In other words, just another kid.

Jerry Yang is said to be inconsolable.

moondo 2009-02-08 04:40:45 PM
If he has kids his legacy may continue depending on how spoiled/stupid they are. And why would a clone want to continue anyone's legacy???

Gee, the lack of humility before nature that's being displayed here,um...staggers me. Don't you see the danger inherent in what you're talking about here? Genetic power's the most awesome force the planet's ever seen, but he wielded it like a kid that found his dad's gun. I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that he used. It didn't require any discipline to attain it. You know, he read what others had done and he took the next step. He didn't earn the knowledge for himself, so he didn't take responsibility for it. He stood on the shoulders geniuses to accomplish something as fast as he could, and before he even knew what he had, he patented it, packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunch box.
