Don't expect to much from The Local, the translations are quick and dirty sometimes. And from time to time they leave out relevant facts that make the story less interesting.

What they should have written was harassment and not molestation.

Molestation used to mean harassment. Back in the olden days a person who pestered you constantly could have been said to be molesting you.

In an old episode of Lost in Space, Doctor Smith declared once, "You will be molested" to Will Robinson. He was presumably using the non-sexual term.
