You call your kid Sky Walker, you've got to expect they'll wreak a bloody revenge on you one day.

No relation.

Yeah, this is a really sad case (at my university, no less).

I actually knew her, not as a professor of any of my classes, but she would always take time out of whatever she was doing (unless it involved teaching classes) to do an interview (when I did a favor for another reporter on our school newspaper) or help with homework (she helped me out several times when I was finishing my poli sci major ... and before I get any crap from anyone about how poli sci is teh worthlezz, I plan on going to law school and that's a good way to start).

She was a wonderful person, and it's really too bad that it ended for her this way ... her son had a lot of problems (severe autism), and this is one of the few cases I've ever seen where yeah, there's no way he's competent to stand trial.

RIP Prof. Steuernagel ... a lot of us will miss you.

Sym_Pathetic:

LOL, thanks ... I needed that. It's been kind of a sh*tty day for me as well as others I know in that school.

He has an alibi. My uncle's cousin's best friend's girlfriend told me she saw him at Toshi Station that night picking up some power converters.

Yeah, he would have walked into a federal building with a jacket made out of C4 and ball bearings.

/I'm just wondering if he cut open her belly and crawled inside. . .

Wait a sec, why are they charging an autistic kid with murder? Even if he did do it he should be institutionalized at worst.

He didn't murder her, she just "lost the will to live".

/or was gangbanged by sandpeople, depending which Skywalker you're talking about

He better hope his force powers are up to the task if he goes to prison. He will have to be prepared for fending off attacks on his thermal exhaust port.

Looks like having children late in life not only leads to increased retardation and birth defects, but it can get you killed 18 years later.

You know, if he did it over his name, I'm almost willing to call it justifiable.

/not serious, but naming your kid something like this is pure cruelty.

Probably he will be. But he can be charged with the crime; the prosecutor will have to prove intent and malice, which is unlikely; and also that he is competent to stand trial, which is even more unlikely.

So out of curiosity what's the argument against executing this guy? I understand he can't stand trial because he's incompetent. But It doesn't seem fair to the state to have to shoulder the burden of caring for him for the rest of his life.

If he was as autistic as they say then most likely they already where through some sort of federal or state disability.
