I don't understand all the adulation over Morrissey and Marr. I never went through a Smiths phase(p).

Didn't even click the link, because I know that everything sounds like Coldplay now.

Actually I don't understand all the Smiths and Morrissey submissions... there's been a TON of them in the last week or so.

Just an observation. Maybe subby needs a hug or something.

You may not have heard of The Cribs but that doesn't stop them having a video of them being harassed by a naked woman.

You might like it! (new window) Clearly NSFW

Not a bad tune either ;)

Is he not playing with Modest Mouse anymore?

i like the smiths - have since '85. but seriously, this expectation of a reunion has reached cult-like proportions, akin to nutty christ-folk anticipating the rapture. bands form, bands play, bands break up. IT'S ThE CIRCLE OF LIFE!

Oh, he's still playing with them. I don't know how the man can juggle playing with two bands at once, but it looks like it can be done.

The Cribs are an alright band. They're just completely unworthy to be in Marr's presence.

Morrissey has a new album coming out (or out? it's hard to tell these days).

The reason, in my mind, that so many people are so excited about a smiths reunion is that When the Smiths split, they were still producing great music, and even today Morrissey's & and Marr's music is still pretty good compared to a lot of the garbage coming out now. The Smiths were a great band, and people expect that they would be as good or better than they were then, if they were to have a reunion.

Me too. Stroke/many other maladies caused by Lupus which she eventually succumbed to. Puts crybaby musicians with songs like that in perspective, among other things.

/Carry on

Um, when The Smiths played their FIRST GIG no one had heard of them either.
