What, I must ask, is heroic about this?

Most people here hate it when bands reform. The Smiths and the Stone Roses perhaps stand alone in not doing so, despite all the members still being alive and active musically (though I heard John Squire is more interested in painting these days).

Now the thread is going to be full of people quoting Smiths lines. Subby, you knew that was going to happen, didn't you? You bastard. I say we hang the subby. Hang the subby. Hang the subby, hang the subby, hang the subby. Hang the subby.

I, for one, love the Smiths and would enjoy seeing them play a reunion show.

I don't have anything to add. Here's a cracking version of "The Loop" from 2007.

Boz, Alan, Jessie, et al FTW!

That joke isn't funny anymore.

/I would love to see them reunite.

Burn down Fark, hang the blessed submitter.

Because the submissions that they constantly approve,
they say nothing to me about my life.

I can think of nothing negative about a Smiths reunion. Morrissey and Marr are still active and neither are past their prime. It would be brilliant. Sadly, I'll just have to keep seeing Moz.

Please, please...

y'know what. Not gonna do it. Would be nice to see a reunion, though.

Reunite? A crack on the head is what you get for asking!

Is it really so strange that Morrissey doesn't want to reunite? If you ask me, I think he'd rather be hit by a double-decker bus than have aging goths gravely reading the stones, as it were, at a reunion concert. Gasping, dying, but somehow still alive. I may smoke because I'm hoping for an early death, but a Smiths reunion isn't something I need to cling to.

You know what subby? Let me know when your mentality catches up with your biology.

I used to be a massive Smiths fan. Then I got better.

LOL...that's funny him saying that he hates nostalgia. One of my friends opened up for the reformed NY Dolls and David Johannson told him he reformed(what's left of) the band because Morrisey was a fan and he talked him into doing it.

All the wrong bands reunite and threaten it's their last tour, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles. These people have driven away any last request of sanctity to themselves or their fans. Hats off to Morrissey, he's an ideal front man Until the end!
