A friend of mine used to be in a hard-rock band and he was closely involved with Toronto's Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf. He used to tell me that the kids at the centre (many of them stone deaf) used to love it when his band showed up to play. The kids would stand right by the speakers and feel the vibrations.

I used to tease him by saying, "You're in a band whose only fans are deaf."

So anyone else struggling to understand the Dufraines reference:
