You don't have to have any alcohol in your system to be impaired. Maybe?

Over .08 is pretty self explanatory. To convict on driving while impaired the prosecutor has to prove that the accused's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs or alcohol.

You can be charged with both, but only convicted of one or the other IIRC.

They recognize that there have to be limits on drinking and driving, because that leads to impaired driving. Yet drinking and driving does not GUARANTEE impaired driving.

In the USA you are assumed to be impaired the moment you take the wheel if you've had a single drink in the past eight hours, because MADD is so powerful.

Kroeger is a supreme douche, though. I read an interview with him in playboy, apparently he was a notorious thief when he was a kid, and a leering ass who treats women like merchandise now. I never particularly liked the band, but I never hated them either. I actively loathe them now.
