U.S. President = responsible for the fate of 300 million Americans, not to mention the rest of the world in a sense
C.E.O. = runs one company

That's because it's a lie. A goddamned lie.

Is the right wing now actually resorting to criticizing the president's use of Air Force One, as well as his drivers and security details?

Really? I, mean, REALLY? God, those poor American executives, having to live under Obama's tyranical and hipocritical hand.

Yep. Looks that way. Heh

CEO - can lay off 10,000 people.
President - can use one finger and launch 10,000 nuclear missiles.

If Obama wants a plane ride, then let him have the plane ride.

It's almost too bizarre a claim to even address. Would he prefer Obama spend time cooking dinner, mowing the White House lawn, and standing at airport security checkpoints?

CEOs that think they are owed as much in perks as the POTUS must have them swinging like church bells.

If the libtards really wanted to make good legislation, they would limit the pay of former Senators and Representatives to (say)$250K a year. Guys like Daschle would not have evaded taxes on his million a year + perks as a "CONsultant".

Well, to be fair, they really don't need to get paid a whole lot, considering they get free room and board, prepared meals and personal attendants for their family, and travel expenses all paid for by the State.

Why should they also get paid a heft salary on top of this?

We don't agree very often mate, but I'm right there with you on that policy! In fact, I don't think you'll find ANY liberals who are against something like that. In fact, hell, I'd go so far as to limit their pay to the median wage in their respective state (which even in the richer states would be well under the $100K mark).

Government isn't a free ride for those involved, and "politician" as a career path should be a choice about patriotism and civil service, not cold, sweaty cash.

Let's not forget how many U.S. Presidents have been shot (or shot at). Is ABC news trying to claim that being a CEO is just as dangerous as being the President?

\Major case of FAIL by ABC

It's a shame that, once again, stupid reporters have latched onto this populist window-dressing instead of reporting on the real issues. This garbage has totally overshadowed critical reporting on the bailout itself, let alone the worldwide panic.

Just like any employee, you have to pay them enough so that they don't steal.

President Obama is only in charge of the greatest nation on the face of the earth. Does he, his wife, and their children really deserve such "perks" when compared to a CEO of _______ !
This is why MSM journalists are loathed.

Seriously. The man is the most powerful person in the world. Most of the "perks" are necessities, because of the security level required for him.
