"We'll do a song called Gimme Some More Money, probably with some dubious results."

The only thing that could be better would be a song reminiscent of their 3rd farewell tour.

I won a Spinal Tap contest for the 20th anniversary re-release, so I'm getting a kick outta this raising the value of my autographed poster....

Yeah, like I'd sell it. I'd like to find out what it's worth just for shiggles, though. Anybody know anywhere that valuates stuff like that?

I want a real gat-dang Spinal Tap tour, dammit!

\They're still real to me!

I am unable to think of any. Buying or selling a collectible item is precarious, and finding a place where such treasures can be found with prices reflecting what the market will bear may be difficult.

Well, yeah... except I don't want to sell it, I just want to find out what it's worth. I suppose I could put it up with an insane reserve price... but it's not like I'm going to find similar items that would give me a good idea. Can't be a ton of autographed 20th anniversary posters.

Was it the "Smell the Glove" anniversary poster? There are a lot of fakes out there.

This is really unnecessary, but hey whatever.

LOL! I have sheets like that too!

browntimmy: Woah, were did you find that autographed one?

Won it. They were having a contest to celebrate the 20th anniversary re-release, and you were supposed to explain why Spinal Tap should hire you as the drummer for that reunion tour.

Instead, I claimed to have already been one of Tap's drummers, but that I didn't actually die... I'd just been wandering around with amnesia since "the accident". Faked up some pictures of them on the road with me shopped into them and some phony medical records from when they found me [1400 hrs: Administered shock treatment to patient. Patient repeatedly asks for machine to be turned to 11.].

Got me "1st place", which wasn't, it was second. They had a "Grand Prize" over that, whoever won that was supposed to get to go to the premiere with Spinal Tap. Never did find out anything about whatever entry won. Still jealous.

/I'll get over it.

Derek: ...and clever.
David: Yeah, and clever.
Nigel: Just that little turnabout....

Clever, indeed.

I'll be impressed if they can do it the other way.

I knew it wasn't the end... I don't really think that the end can be assessed as of itself as being the end because what does the end feel like? It's like saying when you try to extrapolate the end of the universe, you say, if the universe is indeed infinite, then how - what does that mean? How far is all the way, and then if it stops, what's stopping it, and what's behind what's stopping it? So, what's the end, you know, is my question to you.

It's worth less because they signed it.

Anyone else remember around 2000 or so, they released Tapster(their version of Napster), with just one song on it, theirs. The song was new for the occasion, "Back From The Dead", and I still have a copy of it.

It's fun to take a little kid, or a blonde date, to see the movie, and have them think it's real.
