Normally I'd be all over KY in a thread like this because I lived there during the 90's through a couple of heavy snows. Being from MN, it was really hard for me to come up with a plausible excuse for their governmental lack of action when a huge storm was bearing down on them (i.e. close the friggin' interstates if you know you cant plow them).

However, I was also there during the worst ice storm I've ever seen. This storm brought ice, and lots of it. There was no way the state could have mitigated this problem.

Yes, FEMA should be responding. I'm sure the roads are just fine by now so it wouldnt take much to deliver some food and generators to help people get by.
