So glad so many people are opening their eyes to this absolute lie/failure called 'man made' global cooling/warming/changing I have had preached at me over the past 35 years.

Al Gore's new religion has less actual, proven facts than those books Moses wrote a few thousand years ago.

um... i don't think gore was warning earth was going to reach average surface temperatures of 870 degrees fahrenheit. i think he was just pointing out that CO2 is a greenhouse gas.

If only we could stop all science that easily, it brings us unhappiness by trying to tell us things we don't want to think about.

So the Venusian atmosphere's CO2 level is more than 2,557 times greater than the Earth's. And since the CO2 in the Earth's atmosphere is increasing by only about 2 parts per million annually, our planet is hardly being Venus-ized.

Whatever happened to "we report, you decide?" That report pretty much decided that Gore is wrong and we have nothing to fear, so go back to the mall people.

We don't need for the planet to be "Venus-ized" to screw us. We just need a little more ice cap melting to change the environment for us (changing weather patterns, flooded cities, more powerful Katrina like storms etc). Which is cheaper -- doing what is necessary to keep our farms and cities where they are or rebuilding everything a little further north and inland?

Just out of curiosity, does Fox own a lot of inland property in Canada or something?

Why reinvent the wheel? There's a site that will host your video for free and let millions of people watch it with little stress. Instead you could implement your own flash player, host it on your own servers, and spend way too much money doing so.

There has been climate change without man's help for like 2 billion years, since the atmosphere started. The barely fractional influence mankind has on it does not matter.

Personally, I love the label "climate change denier" as if the position of the anti-gore crowd is that the climate doesn't change. It most certainly does.

1. Please quantify what % of the change is part of the natural cycle that the Earth has undergone for millions of years.

2. Once you get the numbers for #1, please quantify what it will cost in productivity, lifestyle, etc to reduce the man-made part to a neutral level.

Otherwise, please stfu and let individuals decide to buy cleaner cars etc as they become price effective. Al Gore is like a door to door salesman with a message of "Something might happen to you, I can't prove what the likelihood is or whether what I'm selling will fix it, but why don't you fork over 20% of your income anyways?"

Go through the Farkives and read any of the previous global warming threads. There are literally hundreds of well sourced posts that explain what is happening. Its getting to the point where people have saved posts to bury ignorance like yours.

Waah, I don't understand what is going on. Explain to me point by point what exactly is happening and how it will affect me, or I won't do anything!

I don't mind that some people feel more comfortable looking at a small amount of facts and latching on to the first one that gives a conclusion and then not changing their mind. People on both sides do that. I don't mind that lots of people simply cannot comprehend the science that is done. Lots of people on both sides do that.

I do mind that one of the points the deniers make is that zomg its a big earth and we are only man so we must be full of ourselves to think we could influence the climate. We've built shiat that you can see from space, we have enough nuclear material to tear the world a new asshole. We dramatically change every ecosystem we come into contact with. We've come up with chemicals that affect the ozone layer. Why is it so hard to believe we could change the makeup of the atmosphere?
